I don’t think Musk was ever really interested in buying Twitter, he was just looking to rattle a few cages. Twitter as a platform seems to have plateaued and there isn’t really much you can do to it to increase usage, which would make it unattractive to someone actually looking to make money.
Totally agree. It was alot about highlighting the dangerous censorship hypocrisy which has been going on the last few years. Kudos to him.
I created a Twitter account several years back just to see Donald Trumps mean tweets. They were epic. Besides that, it was cool being able to keep up with Carolina sports stuff.
Since they banned Trump though, the censorship and politically biased practices, I haven’t even logged back on. My account has probably been purged from the system by now due to inactivity.

You don't have to have an account to read tweets. Just google the twitter user's screen name and add twitter after it with no spaces and you can read their tweets. It's a bit aggravating but still easy.
Not to argue with the banning issue but Twitter, like all social media sites, ban or suspend people all the time for things they post.
When I use to have an account I was suspended for 30 days once because I wrote "If he uses a gun in that manner, he will go to prison." (I know because I took a screen shot of it while I appealed it)
That was somehow interpreted as promoting gun use against someone. I appealed it through their procedures and commented that NO ONE could possibly interpret my post as promoting someone to use a gun against someone else- but my suspension was upheld.
Nutty, but I don't think they were banning me because I acknowledged that using a gun in a crime would result in a prison sentence.
I hope Musk wins and receives compensation for attorney/court fees.

The point your missing is Section 230 and indemnity. The irony is that it's the same thing happening with the vaccines. Our government should not be able to grant broad spectrum immunity to a website (or a product) and then turn around and dictate what they want published on that site.
The main reason Musk went after Twitter was because of censorship - especially censorship as relates to the MDs and researchers who don't agree with the current vaccine policy. He's mentioned this many times and this point was reinforced last night's on Carlson's show by a Johns Hopkins expert on the matter.
This is excellent and exactly why Musk went to battle with Twitter - to ensure the free flow of information. Part Two of the video is the first comment in the feed.
DeeDave, you must keep in mind who is being offended by your post. I doubt any of the "mis/disinformation" reviewers are able to discern an opinion from a threat. Rather, I believe, they are people looking for something to get angry about.
