--Going in helmets through the first two practices with the first padded practice Saturday. Staff had 14 in-person workouts after recruiting. Said he's "pretty pleased" with the conditioning numbers and he likes the numbers his team is putting up.
--BAW and Jaylin Dickerson will be in yellow jerseys but will compete in one-on-one drills. Tavyn Jackson (hamstring), Shi Smith (ankle) are limited and won't be out for long but will be out to start. Ernest Jones, Aaron Thompson, Jam Williams, Lavonte Valentine and Antoine Wilder will definitely be out.
--CJ Freeman and Jerad Washington will transfer after the semester.
--Zack Bailey will rep at guard, Donell Stanley will move to center for now with Malik Young moving to the defensive line to add some depth at tackle.
--"Every position on our team is up for grabs." Said no matter what a starter did last year doesn't secure anything.
--Blake Camper will be looked at as a starting tackle with Bailey moving to tackle.
--Deebo Samuel attacked his offseason workouts full-steam ahead. Said he'll be gradually moved through spring. "He's been cleared and he's looked good."
--Muschamp on early-enrollees: "We're going to throw them in the ocean and see what happens." Said it's about getting these guys ready to help them and that the depth isn't what it needs to be so freshmen are going to be able help.
--Dan Werner has been able to work two hours a week with the quarterbacks. Said Werner and B-Mac have already start building schematically the offense they want to create.
--On moving Malik Young to get more depth to the defensive line: "Malik's a fast-twitch athlete." Don't get too many signees on the defensive line until the summer so they need answers now.
--Asked about starting spring practice early: said there's no good weekend to have a spring game (he's gotten your emails). Said it's about helping recruiting and give players another month to heal from any injuries.
--Jam Williams won't play on offense. Will have a chance to return punts.
--On Javon Kinlaw: "He's about 40 pounds lighter." Said he's gotten stronger and he's "had a good offseason to this point."
--Muschamp on moving forward from the success from last season: "We've made progress, we haven't accomplished anything."
--With four backs, all of whom were injured at some point last season, returning Muschamp said they have to learn how to deal with some pain and wants them to be more durable.
--Muschamp said he and Dawn Staley texted a little last night about the tournament. "She's fired up. When she's fired up, you better watch out."
