Keep in mind this is just counting announced committed players, not the additional “silents” who have not made it public and not the transfers… IOW, we actually did better this month than this composite ranking is even taking into account!

You gotta take this kind of analysis with a grain of salt. It's hard for someone like Bama to raise their composite ranking b/c they are already way up there.

Nevertheless, Beamer has far exceeded the expectations of most if not all with his recruiting so far. I was confident he'd do well in recruiting, but if he can bring James and/or Delp, he will have done a lot better a lot faster than I anticipated.

We aren't the only team in the SEC with silent commits so I highly doubt this is understated. Probably a bit overstated if we knew of all the silent commits in the SEC. You also have to consider the starting point, when you are at the bottom hard to go anywhere but up.

However, I agree that it is encouraging but you have to look at it objectively, not myopically.

That is not accurate. We started the month with 4 recruits, Bama had 6. Not a huge difference. This is a measure of the total number of recruits added and how much it improved the points they use to rate the teams, not the number of spots they moved up which would make your comment relevant. Bama’s position in the rankings prior to this month had zero bearing on their ability improve their composite ranking points by adding more commits unless there was a limiting factor like a full/nearly full class, which there was not.

who are the recruits Bama added in June?

Well, you obviously DO at least a little since you know how many recruits Bama had at the beginning of June.
I figured that off of glancing at the chart I posted and doing simple math. I am not going to do all of your research for you, if you care who Bama landed- go look at their commitment list.

Objectively we moved up more than any other team.

I've never bothered to do math related to Bama recruiting.

This staff is working hard at it and I'm sure they are pulling out all the stops. I expect marked improvement this year in the quality of play, even ahead of the arrival of the '22 class. I believe the '22 season will be our entry back into respectability.

I expect a surprise or two for 21 but I think 22 will be the year we see major improvements
