Dr. Amaridis was well-liked when he was here before as Dean of Engineering and as Provost. He's familiar with the University, and from what I know, a great choice to lead Carolina. Let's all welcome him back to Carolina, and wish him well as our new President!

I was a liberal arts major, but I'm actually excited that he came up on the engineering / CS side. That's the future isn't it? As an aside, anyone else find it an amusing coincidence that two of our recent presidents have been Greek? Hope he is at least half as good as Pastides was.
