NORMAN — OU football coach Brent Venables' wife, Julie, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of 2023, had surgery to remove a tumor last week, Venables announced during his weekly coaches show on Monday night.

Venables said Julie's cancer returned in May and she's been traveling back and forth between Norman and New York the past several months. He added she's doing "amazing" as of now.

Julie told The Oklahoman in March she had "zero cancer" and felt great.

"Her spirit and her strength is nothing short of amazing," Venables said. "We've got a great team and great faith. It's in God's hands, a big part of the battle was her wanting to just fight and keep swinging and that's what she's doing."

Just like with anyone else, I've often wondered what coaches are going through in their private lives- this includes all coaches - but especially those that lead programs.

They are human beings after all. I am sure many are battling all sorts of issues in their private lives like anyone else: sickness, marital problems, problems and issues with their children or families, even financial concerns.

Breast Cancer is typically one of the easiest to treat when done correctly. Wish them the best.

FYI - A primary source of breast cancer is do to accumulation of heavy metals (aluminum) in dormant tissue from deodorant usage.

It creates an estrogenic storm in that region of the body.

This will become mainstream knowledge once Kennedy frees us from Pharma's censorship, bogus funded studies, and the media lobbyists on their behalf (as their paycheck depends on it.)

As it stands today, Chemo and deodorant industry are too profitable.

I know you're trying to be positive so I'm not rejecting all your points (and we share the same political views) but I think it's a little presumptuous to believe breast cancer is always easily preventable or treatable or strictly caused by deodorant use. Millions of women are still dying from it each year if it was just that cut and dry. There's also claims that talcum powder use by women can cause ovarian cancer. There may be some truth to it but I don't know that every recorded case of it can be linked to just that is my point.

There's a ton of truth to it. Cancer doesn't "just happen."

We've been brainwashed over decades to believe it does though.
