I hope we don't "claim" the national title, I don't want us to be the next UCF. Nobody won it this year, we won both SEC titles, try again next year, we are loaded again.
I love Ty's statement. Yeah, I'm disappointed for them, but she and the team had an unforgettable season.
There are seniors on USC's spring sports teams whose playing careers ended barely halfway into the season. That's it. No senior day. Nothing. That has to be crushing.
As a Gamecock fan for over 70 years, I'm disappointed that Dawn will not be able to take this team to their second national championship, which I believe was surely in their future. That does not diminish the pride that these women have allowed Gamecocks to hold for a time. It is especially disappointing for Ty and Kiki not to have the opportunity to finish the job, but we have the promise of an electric group of younger players to carry the pride forward.
