Speed The Gamecock have serious speed in the open court. Laeticia Amihere registered the fastest 3/4-court sprint time at 2.83 seconds. Destanni Henderson is right behind at 2.86 second, then Brea Beal at 2.96 seconds. Aliyah Boston and Saniya Rivers round out the top five at 3.03 seconds. Boston showed the biggest improvement in the offseason, going from 3.44 at the start of 2020- 21 to 3.03 to start this season.
Jumping 10 of 16 Gamecocks have a standing, two-foot vertical jump over 25 inches with Victaria Saxton leading the way at 30.3 inches. She can touch 10-foot-5. Saniya Rivers is second on the team at a 29.8-inch vertical jump and can also touch 10-foot-5. Laeticia Amihere has a 27-inch vertical and can touch 10-foot-9. Aliyah Boston improved her vertical jump by four inches in the offseason. 8 of 16 Gamecocks have broad jumps greater than eight feet with Saxton leading at 9-foot-4.5.
Strength Ten of 16 Gamecocks deadlift over 350 pounds. BEST: Laeticia Amihere - 450 All 11 Gamecock returners can bench press over 135 pounds. BEST: Laeticia Amihere, Destiny Littleton - 165. 14 of 16 Gamecocks can do multiple chin-ups. BEST: Laeticia Amihere, Zia Cooke, Destanni Henderson - 11.
