We got a Spurs up from Muschamp ?

Awesome. Welcome aboard
Need all the big linemen we can get !
No doubt we will get typical response from some if he’s not rated to their satisfaction but linemen that size can be developed
Hopefully our commits do not see the insults from our fans ( or whatever certain ones are )

Yep, my response will be the same until I see a team of mostly 3 stars win a SEC Championship.

We are killing it with the 3 stars. Nothing like being 10th in recruiting in your own conference at the end of this recruiting season.
A huge majority of the offensive linemen are three stars. I am sure South Carolina did not have to go to Alabama just to find a three star when they could of found one in South Carolina. South Carolina must really like Morgan future potential.

Worse than that. Lots worse. According to Rivals, if we were still in the ACC, we would be 13th. Right behind VT but ahead of Duke and Syracuse.

Currently 46th. I don't comment on recruits, they all deserve a chance. And I agree it's hard to get anything other three star o lineman.

But, stars still mean something, and I would like to see a few more 4's at least?
I agree 100%. Muschamp doesn't have a good record on player development. He can't turn a 3* into a better player. At least I haven't seen evidence of it. His coaching skills seem to be sound and fury signifying nothing.

When was the last time we had ten commits, and were ranked this low? I understand part of the issue is the number of commits, but can we expect this to be a top 30 class? I feel like I worry about this every year, and we always end up in the top 25. I guess this is the result of having a coach who won't be here much longer, and coming off a four win season.

It's not even the fact that they are 3 stars that is worrisome. It's that we are beating out powerhouses in Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Troy for these kids.

Some other schools we have beaten for "these kids", Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Memphis, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Louisville, South Florida, Kansas, Colorado, Syracuse, Maryland, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Florida, Boston College, Michigan, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Texas, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Michigan State, Virginia, Kentucky, Miami, Rutgers, UCF, Vandy, Missouri.

Do we know if these 3 stars are more like 3.9 or are they 3.5 or is it just a 3.0???

Which part of the 3 stars are we talking about???

I think this year in particular a ton of guys are going to fly under the radar. A lot of guys who would’ve received a bump or a drop in star ratings missed out because of the virus and evals/camps being cancelled.

IMHO we’ll be able to look at this class in a couple of years and see a great disparity in their star rating and how they wind up producing in college.

The strength of our staff has been their ability to find hidden gems, which is why we get interest early from virtually unknown players then have to fight off other programs who overlooked them.

I think you make a good point. I dont see how any of the sites can "update" their ranking with nothing going on. No camps, no 7on7 tournaments no nothing.

So you are saying we are signing a diamond for each finger. Got it. Most development players don't pay off until year 3 or 4 . My question is who will polish these diamonds ? Only see this as a roster filler (practice players) until our next staff arrives.

Was more pointing out there commits we got this month (prior to O'mega Blake) particularly the OL. While OL is hard to project when their top offers besides South Carolina are GT/Louisville and then a whole lot of teams we shouldn't be competing against for players it usually isn't a good sign

Lord folks. These sunshine pumpers who want to celebrate getting a kid out of Georgia, or Alabama. There is a reason why. Auburn, Bama, Clemson, UGA, Florida, aren't offering them. So in effect USC takes the leftovers after everybody else picks off the better talent. Yea, he may develop into something decent his redshirt junior, or senior, year. But would be nicer to be able to recruit the kid that makes a difference as a freshman. And it can be done. Having a very mediocre program for the last few years hasn't seemed to hamper Mack Browns efforts in recruiting.

i thought both were high ceiling great 4* caliber pickups, but man, couldnt guess that from the responses

The football ops building doesn't appear to be the "gamechanger" we thought it would be in recruiting. Though I suppose we do have some success to point to.

waste of money to this point. Maybe we’d be recruiting on Presbyterian college level without it?

Have become so cynical about WM that I no longer pay much attention to what he says.
Our "extremely hard working" relatively young HC can't even out recruit a 60 something old coach at UNC where the season wasn't exactly lights out.
Tks Tanner. You could have hired a winner(Mack)instead you hired a loser.

Thanks for this post!!!!! I was too lazy to do it but wanted to. Thanks for not being lazy.

Huh? It doesn't take 3 or 4 years to develop a good athlete. If they can contribute they will be contributing by year 2.
