I miss watching my Gamecocks winning! I watched every single pitch in 10' 11' 12' and it's just not the same watching the post season with out them!

I wouldn't mind that myself. It is amazing how hard it can be. And how easy. Va benefits from a Maryland upset and hosts a super. Miami benefits from VCU upsetting Dallas Baptist and gets to host a 4 seed in a Super. And VA is only marginally better than SC or Clemson. But they are on the way. Happened to us in 2010, we got lucky. FSU is really good but had a very tough hill to climb and couldn't. So it can be hard also.

Well put. RT has spoken time and again about how difficult it is to get to Omaha.

Holbrook must be let go if we don't make the tournament next year! Tanner is a fool if he keeps him around. Mediocrity should never ever be accepted especially with our baseball program! The BOT might have to step in if Tanner doesn't make a move!

God, PLEASE, step back from the ledge!!!

Same song and dance since 2010 from you.... Still getting old.

Andy, during our national championship run, you were bashing Tanner on here every day. How you have the balls to even show your face on here since then is amazing. I belive you were calling for Tanner's head in 2010.

Andy comes on FGF strictly for attention, and will make any number of outrageous statements to receive it.

5 teams from the SEC could be in Omaha . Maybe the SEC was tougher than some people thought ?

I would go along and say that too, but we could have been in the NCAA if we had beaten Winthrop, Coastal Carolina, PC & Furman and taken 2 out of 3 again Missouri, UGA & Auburn. That would have given us 38 win...

But I think it's time to start winning games in the SEC tournament, instead of mailing it in...

This is the year we really needed to play well in the SEC tournament and win some games... It's becoming a mind set...

Agreed...we will never see Omaha as long as Holbrook is our coach.

It's sad that the sec has accomplished so much in the postseason this year and we are sitting at home making no contribution.

Have I said anything that isn't true? Would you be happy if we kept Holbrook another year?
Yes, you said "Tanner is a fool if he keeps him around". That, Nelly, isn't true. Ray Tanner will never, ever be considered 'a fool' no matter what he does. Was he a fool when he lead his teams to three straight Championship series winning two of them? Once a fool, always a fool......but RT was never a fool.

And yes, I will be very happy to have Holbrook back next year. Win or lose. If he wins, great. If he loses, maybe you will go away and pull for someone else.

As far as the conference is concerned we've been representing long enough, it's about time everyone else starting pulling their weight. We've earned a break.

Fans from Texas, Arizona, Oregon State, UCLA, etc. are saying the same thing. (about wanting to get back to Omaha.)
Bottom line, it's tough to get there. Not only do you have to be good and avoid injuries, the breaks have to go your way too.
If you look at every team in the CWS, I bet they all had some "bad losses" - but they played well when it counted.
A couple more wins and we would have gotten in. I think it's safe to say that if Crowe doesn't get hurt, we would have had them.
I do agree that we HAVE TO DO BETTER in the SEC tourney!

We could alway stitch "Omaha" on the back of our caps. I've heard that works. ..

Such a typical attitude from Gamecock fans. You just said you'd be happy to have Holbrook back win or lose lol. You see our fans in general are lovable losers. If we win great, and if we lose, it's really not that big of a deal. The Alabamas, LSUs, and Floridas of the world do not accept losing. They demand a winner and will settle for nothing less. Keep on living in that mediocrity world though.

And that's why LSU fired their baseball coach a couple years ago, oh wait, nevermind......
