We sleep walking

Dude. Reply to 1 of your own threads. Don’t start 5. Yes we look bad right now. Hopefully we out coach and out play them.

Zia almost single handedly kept them in it. Boston should be fresh the rest of the way after a terrible call for her 2nd foul. I think and hope that once again our depth wins the day. Iowa looked gassed as the second quarter wore on.

I’ve watched 20+ games this year. This isn’t the same team. Not sure why.

I have not agreed with dawns on court personnel. Lost to 1 person. 3 forwards on the floor when we needed a 3

Embarrassing to lose to 1 person. Worst game I’ve ever seen dawn coach. She must have another job.

I’m pissed. Dawn underestimated Clark and didn’t double her. Rest of Iowa is not good. Lost to 1 person. Can’t believe I’m this mad at women basketball.

Clark is one heck of a player. With that said the refs allowed her to push off and travel all night.

That was the worst officiated game I've ever seen. Yes, the amount of fouls called were fairly even, but Iowa got away with bloody murder.

Boston got absolutely mugged down low the entire game and only went to the line 4 times. At the other end our girls got whistled for the slightest infraction.

Also how the hell does Coach Staley not adjust the defense to cut off the passing lanes? The game was lost when we never shut down the back door cut. That one F for Iowa scored 12+ points on that.

Cardozo got abused on defense. She was constantly out of place.

I feel bad for for the seniors. They got robbed of a likely title their freshman year. And lost close games in the final four twice now. I am glad they did get one title.

Boston has been a generational talent for us on the same level as Aja Wilson. She deserves a statue.

Going to be a very different looking team next year. Hopefully we don't drop off too much.

I agree with everything you said except Boston laid an egg tonight IMO, as did Beal.

Boston did not have a good game tonight, but if you look at her entire career here, she was an all-time great. Sadly, she has played very passively most of this year and seem satisfied to share the load with everybody else. The problem is we needed her to take over this game and she didn't do it. But that shouldn't diminish her legacy overall. Unfortunately her one bad game ended up being her last one in the Gamecock uniform.

The future is not bleak next year but we will not even come close to going undefeated. We could be an Elite 8 team or better depending on what the portal may bring us. As LSU shlowed this year, the portal holds the key to immediate success.

she did double her. she kicked it down low. the iowa player even mentioned that at halftime.

Staley better hit the transfer portal hard, next year is looking bad. Doubt they make it past the first round. No true shooters on her team, but we wont get into the reasons for that.

That's an overreaction. Staley recruits at a high level, our team is all 5 star players. Just going to be new faces playing a lot next year but they are all very talented.

It looked like our girls and coaches were shocked. Maybe they came in totally underestimating how good Iowa was. We clearly did not have a Plan B.

Every coach will hit the transfer portal. Coach Staley has already talked about it.

But let's not get carried away with "looking bad."

We have a great recruiting class coming in. We aren't going to be ranked #1 and won't be there all year like we were this year. But that's unrealistic.

2. South Carolina Gamecocks
Highest-ranked commit: PG Milaysia Fulwiley (No. 13)
Previous ranking: 6

After finishing first in 2021 and sixth in 2022 in the class rankings, South Carolina shoots up near the top in the 2023 class. The Gamecocks landed two recruits in October and Chloe Kitts in the first week of November. Fulwiley is the latest "birdie to fly into the nest," as coach Dawn Staley likes to put it on social media. She is arguably the most entertaining playmaker in the 2023 class and can do things with the ball that no one else can. She has the ball on a string with her handle, is a creative passer and has a knack for knocking down clutch shots. No. 17 Kitts is a lengthy wing with a versatile game. Her rebounding ability and midrange touch make her a matchup problem. She handles the ball very well and is able to create for herself and others off the dribble. With a lethal pull-up jumper, crafty finishing skills and a knock-down shot from deep, No. 25 Tessa Johnson is a smooth guard who can score from all levels. She is incredibly poised and does not allow the opponent to speed her up. No. 40 Sahnya Jah is an active forward with immense potential. She uses her length and agility to get to rebounds and block shots. She is good in the face-up game from the trail position as well as the high- and mid-post areas.
