*** Wednesday morning coaching update...

- We have been told that there is not expected to be a defensive line hire officially approved at this morning's 10:00 a.m. Board of Trustees teleconference. That's been the expectation, but in checking again this morning it appears things are still on hold for now from that standpoint.

- To reiterate, this morning's board meeting will see approval of a contract for new assistant Thomas Brown as well as a raise for offensive line coach Eric Wolford.

- Wes and I were both told separately on Tuesday night that it did not seem likely that former Alabama assistant/current Detroit Lions DL coach Bo Davis would be heading to Columbia.

We're still tracking the DL coach situation in terms of candidates and will pass along anything concrete we hear in the coming days. One we are keeping an eye on is Travis Jones from the Atlanta Falcons, who coached at LSU with Muschamp in the early 2000s.
