Writing this on Wednesday afternoon, the buzz is growing in Columbia and within the coaching industry regarding Bryan McClendon remaining on staff at USC. Beyond that, there are some other signs that point to Will Muschamp leaning in recent days towards elevating McClendon to the full-time offensive coordinator position.
USC’s coaching staff has been in the office today reviewing film from the comeback win over Michigan and checking tape on prospects from the 2019 class and beyond.

As has been noted, Jeremy Pruitt has pursued McClendon for a position at Tennessee, had McClendon not been elevated to full-time play-caller in Columbia.
