I'm afraid that we will get symbolic cuts but nothing really substantive. For the good of the country, we need huge cuts. John F. Kennedy wrote 3 books. The shortest of the 3 was "Profiles In Courage". Why? He did not have many people to write about. The more times change, the more things stay the same.
The only way this happens is if somehow gets blocked in Congress by the same people you supported in the election.
Otherwise, we're about to witness change like we've never seen before in our lifetime.
We need people like Musk and Bezos to pay more in taxes. But there is a reason why Musk spent nearly $300 million to help Trump win the election to avoid having to pay more in taxes.
The GOP had far bigger margins 20 years ago than they will in January. When W. Bush tried to privatize Social Security, the Republican Congress blocked him. I'm not saying you are wrong. What I'm saying is that there will be a lot of communication across the aisle to save each others' backs. There are a lot of GOP House members who are in "purple" districts.
