In exchange, the gangs needed to find ways to lower the number of homicides. One of the ways in which gang leaders achieved this was to authorize fewer killings and genuinely reduce violence.
However, they also increased the practice of burying the bodies of victims in unmarked and often mass graves—in effect, reducing the number of “public killings.” According to a 2022 U.S. federal indictment, during the negotiations, “MS-13 leaders continued to authorize murders where the victims’ bodies were buried or otherwise hidden.”
Imagine the outrage here if Biden allowed gang members to commit more drug crimes if they just agreed to stop killing as many people in public or at least bury the bodies so we can hide the true numbers of homicides.

If you actually read the report (I realize few are going to do that because it lays out the facts - and the report is actually a bit dated at this point) the directive to examine who was being audited was issued as A RESULT OF THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT.
Biden's Secretary of Treasury, ordered the IRS to examine what income levels were being audited the most- which included a portion of the Trump Administration (Tax years, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023).

The Biden administration increased examinations and audits of those making over $400,000. The Biden Administration decreased the examinations and audits of those making under $400,000.
In August 2022, Charles Rettig, Trump's appointed IRS commissioner who was still in charge at the IRS was directed by the Treasury Secretary that additional IRS funding was to be solely focused on individuals making over $400,000 and not small businesses or individual taxpayers. She also directed that compliance and audit efforts will be focused on high end earners with a history of non-compliance and specific avoidance of paying their required taxes.
As a result, in 2024, the IRS reported to Congress that they had collected over $1 billion dollars from high income individuals that had not paid their taxes, some that had avoided even filing returns for almost a decade.
To increase the collection of funds, the IRS notified some 125,000 high income earners that they had a grace period to file and pay their taxes, or face audits and possible prosecution.
Like most of Biden's plans, this one was top notch.
He managed to put us more in debt than any other President in history over a similar time frame.
As mentioned previously, IRS collections mean little to nothing in the grand scheme.

These facts are easily verifiable. Biden deported more people last year than any year of the first Trump administration.
I'm sure Trump will surpass that this year, but it's dishonest to pretend Biden wasn't sending flights all over the world. Biden just did them humanely and not looking for photo ops to look tough.

Deportation flights to Colombia were occurring during the Biden Administration. About 20 per month landed in Colombia. There were a total of 475 during the Biden Administration. (There were 7,722 in the last 12 months of the Biden administration- not just to Colombia of course - and a little over 34,000 since 2020)

A little over a year ago, Columbia paused the flights making some of the same allegations (mistreatment) but this was quickly remedied and flights resumed.
