He'll lie, he'll deflect, he'll move the goalposts, and then he'll whine and cry to the mods when it doesnt go his way.

This attitude is exactly why you guys are in such a fragile mental state. When faced with reality, you guys just reject it and run with conspiracy theories.
It's unfortunate that your life would be so much better if you were open and honest with yourselves. Constantly telling yourself that everyone is out to get you just makes you more mentally unwell.
When I worked at the SC General Assembly, we had a man and a woman that would call our office every few weeks accusing random Senators of having an affair with the woman. There was no discernible pattern to it.
I worked for one particular senator for most of this time and she'd accuse him of the affair, then the next time she called she'd accuse another senator of an affair with her seeming to forget she'd accused someone different the last time she called. Obviously, she had some problems.
We were instructed to let her talk and tell her we'd take down her information. Of course, we wouldn't. We'd just let her talk it out and then we'd say something like, "We will look into this" and hang up and laugh about it. Then a few weeks or so would go by and they'd call again. The man rarely talked. If that happened these days, we'd likely alert the capitol police folks and let them handle it or tell us what to do. Back then, as long as it was just a phone call, we'd let them talk it out and would otherwise ignore it.
you get a lot of good folks calling in or stopping by that need some sort of assistance, and you also get some folks that are clearly unbalanced.
Yeah, I would think most people in life would understand how situations like this occur. Or have some experience dealing with those that suffer from delusions or other mental illness.
Back when I lived in SC, there was a guy Jeffrey would that would walk across town and rant and rave at cars that passed by him. Jeffrey would wave his arms and remonstrate at people. Sometimes he would use a stick or some long object as a sword. He constantly would have anti-abortion signs or yell anti-abortion statements. But everyone in town knew Jeffrey suffered from untreated mental illness and drug addiction.
Everyone once in awhile he would go into treatment, and he would disappear from the town and if you did see him he would act like a normal member of the community. But the moment he stopped taking his medication Jeffrey would be back to the street corners. No one took him seriously and sadly he was often the butt of jokes. But one thing was certain, no one took his positions seriously. Everyone knew Jeffrey was unhinged when he was off his medicine.
It's just odd, that in this thread the majority of posters would be standing by his street corner going, "You know, Jeffrey guy has a point. We just can't trust our local city council but we can trust Jeffrey."

Here comes the real test of the second Trump administration. If true, this is setting up a clash with the judicial branch.
Chief Justice Roberts has always shown himself to be concerned about the legitimacy of the court. That's why he was the deciding vote to maintain the legality of the ACA. So he will likely join with the 3 liberal justices.
Will one of the other conservative judges join him to preserve the legitimacy of our government? If not, it's going to create quite the constitutional crisis going forward.
How would anyone believe that the Ukrainians would smuggle weapons from Europe back into the Western hempishere to the Mexican cartels?

I'm not going to name the town but there is a woman that does something like this near me. I've actually talked to her at our local grocery store a few times because she's known to walk the aisles. She's very reasonable if you just talk to her. But I've seen her in our town standing in the middle of the road before yelling "Hello" or "How are you doing" at people. I think all the local police know her well. I've never seen her saying anything awful- or doing anything bad toward anyone.
I am not sure what she has but it's some sort of intellectual disability. But it's not super obvious if you are just talking to her about random stuff. But I could very easily see her accusing someone (anyone) of something or doing something to get herself hurt.
I've seen her trying to take people's grocery cart out to their car before when they clearly don't want her to- and it created a scene.
The problem is- on social media- everyone who has a concern or complaint is taken seriously by people that don't like the people that are being accused. It doesn't matter if the allegation is totally ridiculous.
I also know a woman who accused a state senator of sexual abuse- and did it publicly. The reason? Because she contacted his office to tell him about the situation and after talking with her, he didn't do anything about it but tell her to contact the police. So she went online and accused him of doing it himself since he couldn't help her. That could get her in serious trouble- but it's obvious she has a mental problem and no one took it seriously.
