I belong to neither party. I’ve voted for candidates in both parties over the years though I am a conservative. But I think the Democratic Party better change its ways because the way things are going for it now, it is on its way to extinction. Maybe a Common Sense Party will take its place.

The comment was basically about this radical far left element of the dem party, and how there is a real opportunity for a solid, moderate, actually liberal candidate to help bring the party back from the edge of the cliff.
The notion is that even though a majority of democrats will still vote for a rock over a republican, and are therefore almost hostage to the radicals (as planned), they still would rally around a moderate that would pull back the reins.
Not sure how much I believe that, but I do think the nation would benefit from a sane second party. A rational option.
