I had forgot to post but we did buy the BMW. I went and test drove it and liked it. But it's for my wife, not me. I ended up also test driving a 2023 Taycan because I wanted my wife to consider it, but she wasn't interested and I was ok with that. That was still fun though. She knew what she wanted and that's what mattered. Her car was made in Germany.
Most BMWs are leased. It's almost their entire business model. Gives people the opportunity to own a mediocre car with a fancy nameplate at a low price. Dime a dozen. If you can afford to buy a Camry, you can afford to lease a BMW.
