No president in our lifetime has ever made a decision like Trump is doing with the tariffs that directly cause inflation.
Yeah Trump and Biden both contributed to inflation with their pandemic bills. But those were at least rationally related to a global pandemic. There is nothing the tariffs are in response to other than Trump's inclination.

Guys, let me tell you what I'm watching like a "hawk". I'm keeping my eyes on the 30-year US Treasury Bond. When/If it goes over 5%, that is akin to getting the "2 minute" warning towards the end of the 4th quarter. Of course, it can go over 5% and then go under. If it is sustained over 5% for 2 weeks, we are in trouble. Right now, it is at 4.959%

I believe he is the very best hire Trump has made in either presidential term. I do call them as I see them. And I still like Bessent (and, by the way, him being a South Carolina boy has nothing to do with my praise). If anyone can keep us out of economic trouble, it's Bessent. That guy is smart. I just hope Trump listens to him. I THINK he is listening to him.

I'm not sure what your definition is of "ready to fly". I'm not a fan of Jim Cramer. But, he is right when he says there's always a bull market somewhere. But, I would not generalize as a whole regarding the market.
All that said, I'm 100% in the market. But, I'm in the Jim Rogers camp in that I don't diversify. My attitude is "go big or go home". That approach serves me well as my portfolio hit an all time high for me this morning.

Watching this California trash going on right now I think it’s time to cut em loose. They have lost the state and have zero interest in stopping the violence. Walk away. Give innocents 30 days to get out and wall the entire state off. Make it a prison state to house all criminals since most reside there anyway.

Well, I won't give out any investment recommendations. But if I change my current portfolio, I will be happy to say I have done that. As things stand today, my portfolio is set to go into 2027.

Ward, you are not a dumbass. There were investments that did well during the Great Depression. I didn't want to say but I will. I'm up 41% so far this year. I'd be up a lot more if I did not exercise poor judgement last week and sold a bunch. I bought back what I sold this morning.
I usually am 100% invested. I try to be thorough in my investment analysis before I pull the trigger. To quote Jim Rogers, I want to make investments that are as easy as picking up a $10 bill off the sidewalk. I think I learned a lot when I was regulating the sales of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.
I could be wrong on my economic analysis. And I hope I am. I am not in the tank for Democrats. I criticized Biden regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco, on this forum. I said, on this forum, that I supported Chris Christie for President. I said on this forum I am all for showing ID in order to vote (Watson jumped all over me for that). I could give other examples. The problem is for some people is that if you are not 100% in agreement, then you are the enemy.. Thank God my wife did not look at me that way. She is/was a Republican when we dated. She is more conservative than I am.
