Well, our Poor

Someone earlier mentioned Trump being underwater in some poll. You know who's underwater in these polls? DEMOCRATS. Most polls I've seen concerning issues most important to Americans breaks down about 80/20. The Democrats still don't know or understand what is happening. They are incapable of coming to grips with the fact that most Americans would just as soon p*** on them as look at them. All they have really is violence at this point. There's a chance we'll get to see how that 80/20 plays out in the streets.
should be over quickly like bidens debate.

80/20 is being kind. More like 95/5

Well...

He....

beat the Bushs
beat the Clintons
made Biden look like a vegetable.
sent Kamala back up her coconut tree
beat the left wing media.
renamed CNN as Fake News.
is worth $5 billion+.
is married to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL First Lady in history.
exposed the Dems to the point that only the far left nutjobs approve of them.
made Rosie's fat ass move to Ireland
pulled off the biggest political upset in history. Twice.

Other than all that, yeah, not really talented. LOL

I spent 15 mins online today responding to someone who was convinced the shooter in Minnesota was a Democrat despite his friends saying he was a Trump supporter who had strong anti gay/anti LGBT views.

I don't know his motivation. Hell, it might end up being something sports related for all I know. But calling him a Democrat, which Donald Trump Junior did today, is the stuff of fools. I am glad the NewsNation host called out Trump Jr. to his face on that one.

Good for you Gomey! It would be absolutely horrible to tarnish the immaculate image of the Democratic Party as it stands today by trying to attach this event to them. That was 15 minutes of your life well-served. Bravo!

Didn’t take long for congress to love law enforcement again huh. To hell with hard working citizens safety but let ONE incident happen to the government officials and they suddenly want police protection, private security and the best part, they want the poor making less than 60k a year to pay for it while living like kings. Get out of congress if you can’t take care of yourself like we have to do.

Ten years ago today. Libs laughed and made jokes then while Republicans voted lined up to vote for him.

Who is laughing now?

True story. I just built a shelf in my mancave that my plan is starting a collection of bobbleheads. Funny story on that. Yesterday I was at a pretty well known bobblehead company's website that has figures of all the presidents going back to Washington. Every president's figurine started at 32 dollars... that is every one but one. Joe Biden's bobblehead was 14 dollars. Too funny.

You don't have to be all that talented to win elections. You just have to be a better than someone else on the ballot.

But the main point of my post was in response to a fool talking about how people with real accomplishments don't brag- so I posted just a tiny sample of Trump bragging about all sorts of things regarding himself

Another liberal assaults ICE officers and gets arrested. ICE agents can’t quit laughing at the limp wristed attempt as he’s swatted to the ground without any effort. Said they’ll have to charge him with attempted assault. Ehhhhh he gave it his (hers or its) best effort. ICE may end up arresting more dims than illegals!! Lmao

You might consider focusing on policy rather being so emotional about what someone says - especially when it comes to politics.

Democrats have been caught on hot mics and emails saying outlandish things all the time.

However, they do seem to be able to keep it together on camera when they are lying to everyone so you feel good about that.

As has been stated many times, Trump was loved by all of the people he's now hated by right up until he decided to get into politics and threaten the establishment BS.

Why did they do that?

Well, now we know.

He blew up their grift.

They were blatantly stealing from every American for a very long time.

They were also purposely making terrible policy decisions in order to "knock America down" and were enriching themselves as they did this.

They did absolutely nothing for the lower class they claim to be champions of.

Along with stealing from them too - they drastically increased the gap between the "haves" and have nots" while again enriching themselves via purchased economic policy decisions.

These are facts.

Trump's abrasive persona is a product of everything I've mentioned above.

He also knew he had to be bombastic in order to have a chance to break up the grift and it worked.

Now it's his default setting and why wouldn't it be?

The BS media, Steele Dossier, Attempts to Falsely Imprison, Assassination Attempts, etc.

I'm actually surprised he's been as tame as he's been this term with everything that's occurred.

Focus on outcomes

You don’t really believe any of this do you?

I’m curious what you’re getting out of this whole ordeal? What makes you so supportive of the grift from Trump and the tech billionaires?

Let's hear that grift Shoney.

Tech billionaires where the ones who were forced to censor Americans in the 2020 election (laptop) and during COVID (masks/toxic medication) as the Biden Administration hung Section 230 over their heads for anyone who didn't fall in line.

Tech Billionaires collectively funneled over a billion to Biden in 2020 to ensure they could continue to operate as they had been.

The Biden Administration continually used their position throughout the 4-year term to hold these companies hostage.

Zuckerberg has stated this publicly. Dorsey/Musk have stated this publicly. etc.

There's also a litany of evidence via emails to both companies detailing what they did.

They were corrupt to the bone.

Why are you avoiding the question?

I get that Facebook makes more money by allowing the conspiracy theorists to conspiracy theory. I also get that Facebook was facing an antitrust lawsuit so Zuckerberg thought he could buy his way out of it.

What I don’t get is you. What are you getting from letting Trump make hundreds of millions of dollars in crypto grift?

I apologize for hijacking this thread. But your last sentence referencing "the summer of 1963", brought back memories for me. I spent the entire summer of 1963 in Greece with my Mom and brother. We were visiting my maternal grandparents. That was the first time I had ever seen my grandparents. My paternal grandparents passed away before I was born. We spent that whole summer on a Greek island where you could see the country of Turkey from there. What a great, great time to spend an entire summer. When I'm on my death bed thinking about my life, I'm sure that one of the things I will think about is that summer. My Dad was not able to come. He owned and operated 2 retail businesses. He made sure I would not miss any sports news by sending me the sports pages of a newspaper once per week. On a Greek island on the Aegean Sea, I can attest to the fact that major league baseball standings did not make the rounds there back then. What a great Dad I had to take the time from his busy schedule to send me the sports pages every week. I wish he did not pass away when I was 17. Words don't actually convey how much I still miss him.

Again, I apologize for hijacking the thread. Thanks for getting me to remember about some things more important than politics.

PS: I was allowed to finish the 5th grade 3 weeks early before graduating that grade with my class mates, in order to make the trip. So, I'm actually not sure I completed the 5th grade. Maybe that's why I am sometimes slow on the uptake. LOL
Thanks for sharing a great memory.

Useless is being too kind for someone that has never created, invented, constructed repaired or added anything to society. He’s a taker and a net negative. Welfare babies will fight to the death to keep their free ride alive because after all they cannot survive on their own. Funny how being useless pans out without government carrying your incapable worthless ass. Lol

I’ll ask you the same question I asked Ward. What do you get out of all this?

You don’t even have health insurance. If anyone needs government help it’s you. Why are you supporting people who are making your life worse?

Possibly a better question is what do we get by paying your salary -- other than having to cope with your strange mental disease?

You're free follow Eric Trump's lead and start Shoney Coin whenever you want to Watson.

Although I have no idea where the liquidity might come from?

You're also free not to invest in Eric Trump's coin.

No one is forcing you to do a thing.

You're self-destructing all by yourself. :)

Looking forward to the new Trump Mobile phone service complete with telemedicine included with 24/7 365 service. No more doctors visits or bs insurance plans. Not that I participate now but it’s great to finally be able to bypass the scam and get the prescription you may need from time to time. 🙏

This could also eliminate medicade/medicare and save trillions to help save the country. I feel like Elon will contribute on this project.

4th post- Picking up with the summer of 1963

In June 1963, after the Kennedy administration secured the desegregation of the University of Alabama -- over the objections of Democratic Gov. George Wallace -- JFK issued this stirring call for the legislation that would become the Civil Rights Act.

When JFK was assassinated, Lyndon B. Johnson didn't simply continue to push for the Civil Rights Act, but went further, making it even stronger than originally planned.

He signed it into law in July 1964 with Martin Luther King at his side
Now, Republicans were pivotal in helping pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

It *was* a Democratic admin's bill, but Southern Dems in the Senate blocked it at every turn, so Democratic leaders reached out to Minority Leader Everett Dirksen to get GOP votes to help pass it.

Personally, Goldwater wasn’t a bigot. He opposed not integration itself, but federal intervention to achieve it.
For most Southern whites, however, the nuances of Goldwater’s opposition to the Civil Rights Act didn’t matter. All that mattered was that he stood against it, while LBJ stood for it.

Goldwater carried four Deep South states that fall, with segregationists rallying to the GOP.
Notably, Senator Strom Thurmond -- the original Dixiecrat -- bolted from the Democratic Party to join the ranks of the Republicans.

Importantly, he secured a rare deal with the GOP whereby he'd keep his seniority, and all the congressional power that came with it.

5th post
The Goldwater/Thurmond moment was transformative in how Americans understood the two parties on civil rights.

Until 1964, it seemed clear that Democrats were the party of economic liberalism and the GOP economic conservatism, but civil rights had been left out of the picture.

Indeed, as @edsall has noted, as late as 1962, polls asking which political party was “more likely to see to it that Negroes get fair treatment in jobs and housing” showed that Americans saw virtually no difference between Democrats and Republicans.

But in 1964, when asked the same question, 60% said Democrats were more in favor of fair jobs and housing for blacks; just 7% said Republicans.

Asked which party was more likely to support school integration in 1964, 56% pointed to Democrats while 7% did so for the Republicans.

There was a stark change in popular perception about the two parties on civil rights.

But, that said, there was *not* an immediate, massive change in party affiliations for elected officials in Washington. The "realignment" that scholars write about didn't happen overnight.

Strom Thurmond's deal -- in which he kept his seniority and thus, in the era of strong committee chairs, his real power -- proved to be a one-off.

Most of the other old Dixiecrats in Congress didn't switch parties themselves, but oversaw a transition for the next generation.

Take former Senate Maj. Leader Trent Lott. He served as an aide to Rep. William Colmer (D-MS), head of the House Rules Committee.

When Colmer retired in 1972, he handpicked Lott to fill the seat -- but told him to run as a Republican. He did & won.

Or consider Jesse Helms. He'd grown up a southern Dem, getting his first taste of politics helping Democrat Willis Smith run a race-baiting campaign for a NC senate seat in 1950 (see the ad below).

When Helms ran on his own in 1972, though, like Lott, he ran as a Republican.

The realignment of the two parties happened this way, in fits and starts, as old Dixiecrats retired and a new generation increasingly ran as Republicans.

I’ll ask you the same question I asked Ward. What do you get out of all this?

Corrupt Government is the only thing making my life worse nancy. Health Insurance is a scam just so ya know but you keep living in the dark. They’ll be sliding you in the incinerator soon enough. Don’t forget your boosters!! Lmao

You'd be their perfect target.

The "tele-health" plan is a 3rd party provider. It would require users to sign up for that separately and pay additional fees.

If you think a telemedicine provider who admits most of their services they treat are sore throats, colds and fevers will replace Medicare, you need their mental health counseling services.

The Trump Mobile site launched with a map showing its coverage area, which included the 'Gulf of Mexico."

The Trump family is licensing their name to a cell provider. There is nothing new about it.

CNET senior editor Mike Sorrentino noted that the site for the Trump phone went live with numerous errors and omissions. The site mentions a "punch-hole AMOLED display," which Sorrentino notes does not exist, using the term to refer to the space for the front-facing camera.

Two separate sizes are given for the phone display. The site references a "5,000mAh long life camera," but it appears to mean the battery as a "long life camera" doesn't make sense.

The press release says the phone will be released in August. The website says September.

Creative Strategies Inc. analyst Max Weinbach said the T1 phone is the same phone as the Wingtech REVVL7 that is made in China. None of the phone's key parts are available in the United States.

"Same device as the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G, custom body. Wingtech, now owned by Luxshare, makes it in Jiaxing, Wuxi, or Kunming China," he said

Steve Hou of Bloomberg LP, found the same phone on Amazon. Trump is selling his phone for $499, but it can be purchased on Amazon for $169. It can also be purchased in gold. GadgPro is offering $192.48 for a gold phone with a better camera and two terabytes of storage.

Tech experts have already been able to tell the phone will use the T Mobile network.

Your life must stink really bad if "corrupt government" is impacting your life negatively. That really is terrible. Seek therapy.

I mean, sure, corruption exists- always has- always will. But I don't waste one second a day thinking about it, and it sure doesn't impact me negatively. LOL

You do not have to have health insurance. You sound like a single man whining about how bad his marriage would be if he was only married.

Health insurance……………..🤣 Your a riot. If you paid any substantial taxes it would piss you off watching DC live off your hard earned money but since you’re one of the lower tier government employees you have no clue. Now run along and take your meds for your he/she/it treatments. Sounds like maybe your married to yourself? Who knows with y’all. Better yet who cares.

I pay in the high 5 figures in taxes every year.

No one gives a shit if you have health insurance or not. But quit whining about it- since you don't have it. No one cares.

I don't whine like a 2 year old about government corruption or let it impact me negatively given it's a feature of human lives and any organized group of people.

I don't work for the government. LOL

You not only lie to everyone else but to yourself.
