He was good today. He hasnt played that good. Now you're just making stuff up
We do foolish things indeed, but letting a previous qb ‘get away’ wasn’t one of them.
He hasnt played that good. Now you're just making stuff up
An historical aberration. He was good today.
He was good today.
Not really. He had some excellent games here. Unfortunately his performance would generally revert to the mean for several games before having another great one. He slashed and gashed Venables‘ D in 2018, then department store bowl happened. An historical aberration.
Sorry your favorite player transferred!
The reversal that was encountered was earned in the face of ample opportunity. Not really. He had some excellent games here. Unfortunately his performance would generally revert to the mean for several games before having another great one. He slashed and gashed Venables‘ D in 2018, then department store bowl happened.
An historical aberration.
But likely so.Or not.
How quick people are to remember the past more whimsically than facts warrant. This is a classic example. The only difference between Jake and Todd was a matter of degree.Yeah right, Utah has been a better team than us for the past serveral years and it's an aberration. What a joke.
1 game for the whole season ain't bad.Yeah right, leading Utah to a big win over a previously undefeated team is making stuff up.
1 game for the whole season ain't bad.
He also blew a 21-0 lead and threw a pick at the end of the gameJake was 20-32, 240 yards, 2 TDs, 1 int. against an undefeated team on their home field.
No we didn’tfoolish things, so it really doesn't matter.
I tend to believe most of Jake's shortcomings were the direct result of ineffective coaching. Had he been here with SOS I think he really could have been special.Or not.
He also blew a 21-0 lead and threw a pick at the end of the game
Did he blow a 21-0 lead or was it the “whole Utah team, and coaching staff that blew a 21-0 lead. The way the Utes defense played I would say the latter. He also blew a 21-0 lead and threw a pick at the end of the game
Unknown and unknowable. What is knowable is that Spurrier made that decision.I tend to believe most of Jake's shortcomings were the direct result of ineffective coaching. Had he been here with SOS I think he really could have been special.
The past can be a predictor though. Several former QBs under Muschamp have flourished under better coaching. Two of them are currently on NFL rosters.Unknown and unknowable. What is knowable is that Spurrier made that decision.
If it really doesn’t matter why bring it up?foolish things, so it really doesn't matter.
What Muschamp did to Jeff Driskell at Florida was criminal. The past can be a predictor though. Several former QBs under Muschamp have flourished under better coaching. Two of them are currently on NFL rosters.
Don't rehabilitate this man beyond what a flourish or two would indicate. The past can be a predictor though. Several former QBs under Muschamp have flourished under better coaching. Two of them are currently on NFL rosters.
The "undefeated" team was Colorado and 4-0 and they were.....ColoradoJake was 20-32, 240 yards, 2 TDs, 1 int. against an undefeated team on their home field.
And undefeated. And now they’re not.The "undefeated" team was Colorado and 4-0 and they were.....Colorado
Hold on now, the OP said Bentley beat the potheads at Colorado. So Bentley blew a 21 point lead. Right ?Did he blow a 21-0 lead or was it the “whole Utah team, and coaching staff that blew a 21-0 lead. The way the Utes defense played I would say the latter.
“Coaching” was suspect yes. The culture, within the program and without, became equally if not more so damaging. He had terrible coaching here. If he played in Spurrier’s era he would have excelled.
