Hate to lose Meade, but wish him the best of luck. Every assistant desires to be a HC one day. This is his chance, hope he does well.

Head coach at South Alabama that's been to the regionals 2 years in a row. Unless you hire him as head coach.

Yes. And I'm not a fan of not having your bullpen stocked at the beginning of the game.
Hitting coach was new last year and didn't have full fall or spring practice to change our approach. Even Holbrook took a season and a half to change our approach at the plate after he took over from Lee. Give Lake this year to see how he does.
Sounds like another leave the sinking ship deal. Next year could be really bad. Hope the baseball team doesn't settle into mediocrity.

Stuart is anything but "new". He's been basically our hitting coach the entire time he's been here. He just finally got the title.
And our hitting has been... lacking the whole time.
Thought he was the off-the-field coach and was over recruiting. He and Current changed positions.

Thought that was Current since he held that position at S. Florida.
At least that was how it was explained on TOS when the change was made.

I understand what may have been out in the press. It was not how things actually were.
Well if Lake is not a small-ball hitting coach, we need to hire someone who is. Not sure why, but everyone seemed to love it when he was hired.

We better hit a dinger on this next hire. Kingston probably already has a fallback in place. We can only hope he can tow the line. If we stick with Lake/Current, mediocrity will be allowed to settle in for multiple seasons.

I don't think that applies here at all. One leaves to be a head coach and the other leaves to coach with a life long friend. IMHO both would have left even if the ship was winning the America's Cup.
Are Michael Roth or Matty Price available or interested? Roth was a genius at getting batters to swing at balls that weren't even over the plate... and his pitches were SLOW. Price had nerves of steel when the game was on the line and his accuracy got BETTER under pressure. Seems like those two guys would be wonderful coaches.
Kip Bouknight? Your thoughts. I have no clue at all if he is even interested.
Troy has a nice facility and a lot of potential to do well. Honestly, I have no idea who would be a good pitching coach on the collegiate level. I doubt many do know.
I do know hiring a legendary Gamecock pitcher isn’t a sure thing. Not sure giving a guy his first coaching gig as our pitching coach would be wise. Especially this coaching staff.

I do like his discussion during games on pitching strategy etc. I'm sure Kingston probably has his 2 guys he wants. Needs to work out with positive results beginning immediately.
What we need is a proven pitching coach. No 2nd tier coach.
