My impression exactly. Other than that pick they always set at the top of the key on every half court possession, there's nothing cohesive going on. It's street ball, and not very good street ball. This team has no "plays"
Its just pass it around past the three point line and hope something happens.
At least it’s unpredictable for other teams. My impression exactly. Other than that pick they always set at the top of the key on every half court possession, there's nothing cohesive going on. It's street ball, and not very good street ball.
That's the point. The best teams/programs (Warriors/Duke/Spurs with Duncan) in basketball are random in their offense these days. You run random pick and rolls and cuts looking for dribble drives or kick outs for 3s. Running plays that other teams can easily scout as every game is on television is a little outdated in thought. Finally, you have to take into account that the shot clock has been cut down to 30 seconds. So, the college game and professional game is beginning to look similar. The days of motion offenses with 5-6 passes before you even thinking about shooting are just not feasible. You don't have time to do all that. You have to attack and find quick hitting actions to be successful. We are far from that, but it's more about the bodies than the action that Paris is running. It's Bo Ryan's offense from Wisconsin. If you have watched Ryan's offense and didn't have an issue, then you shouldn't have an issue with what this team is trying to do now.At least it’s unpredictable for other teams.
