What are some good "Streaming Channels"? Is Hulu, Disney Plus good? I like a little bit of everything.

I have the Disney Bundle included free with my Verizon plan, but even for $13.99 a month (regular price), it's a good value IMO. My wife and I only watch Hulu, I watch some ESPN+, and my grandkids use my login for Disney. It's ALOT of content for $13.99 a month. If you can get it cheaper on a Cyber Monday deal, even better.

Yep ! waived bye bye to DirecTV a couple years ago. Hulu keeps adding channels pricing pretty stable, and Disney + has Baby Yoda, star wars & marvel series. The ESPN + covers USC mens basketball and baseball a lot. Even Expanded PGA stuff available more.

I didn't mention Dawn since 99%of their games are on major network anyway, despite the folks saying others don't care about lady round ball............ not sure where they get their data.

Hulu live tv just increased my bill again which takes effect next month I believe. But it will include Disney+ and ESPN+. Hulu has about doubled since I signed up at 39.99 a month. Their pricing is hardly stable

Pluto, Stirr and others offer a large variety of channels for free. Few to no live sports, but there are movies, classic TV, reality, history, news, music and more.
Philo has everything sans live sports for $20/month. I don't like that their guide defaults to on demand for all programming (have to press right for "live" TV).

A little bit of everything will easily have you paying more than cable per month.
Very true. I currently have YouTubeTV (around $70) and Philo (around $20), along with the Disney Bundle included in my Verizon plan. Was with Direct for 20 years prior to switching and at the end was at around $130. That was with old TV boxes, couldn't record, no library, on-demand, etc., and they wanted me to pay more to upgrade. I'm sure that I could have come out better if I negotiated, but I don't have time for that crap. Put your price out there for old and new customers, and stick with it. Pissed me off a new customer gets better deals than someone who was loyal for 20 years, or you had to call every year to get a lower price (hassle). I'm still coming out better money-wise, and I love the features that YouTube has. I wouldn't go back to Direct if they gave it to me.

I want to take advantage of Cyber Monday.
Hulu: Great as an aggregator for traditional cable tv shows and some Hulu original content
Disney+: Either have kids that like Disney shows or be a big Star Wars fan. Otherwise, meh.
Netflix: 10 billion original shows and movies. A lot of them are very average but provide some entertainment.
ESPN+: Meh. I no longer like their writers and I don’t watch non-major sports.
HBO: Tons of award winning series. Even some of the old stuff is still good enough to watch.
AppleTV: Nothing worth mentioning.
Paramount: SpongeBob?
Peacock: Just NBC online
CBS all access: Just CBS online

I watch some stuff on Hulu.

I have Disney + because I’m a Star Wars and Marvel fan. Same goes for HBO Max since they have DC movies and shows. (Yes, I’m a big kid a heart) I watch some stuff on Hulu. My wife and I are trying Apple TV because we wanted to watch Ted Lasso (great show) and we watch Yellowstone on Paramount TV although that’s a free channel too. Yellowstone is fantastic.

Thanks, great information,

I like Ted Lasso on Apple TV.

Yep, it didn't take streaming long to surpass cable in cost. It's so fractured. You have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Disney +, and I'm sure others I'm not thinking of. No one service has everything. For us, we have Amazon Prime b/c we buy so much stuff there. For streaming, we've decided that Hulu and Disney + (we have kids) does the trick to get us most of what we want to see. For college football season, I just do YouTube LIve TV and cancel at the end of the season.

That's the most annoying thing. Cutting the cord really isn't cheaper - it just lets you have a little more control. I've got Youtube TV and record movies/shows I want to watch. Also use Amazon Prime for movies and shows and have a friend's netflix login (which I don't use, but my wife does).

It's about $100 cheaper a month for us. And we have damn near every streaming thing you can have. But we also had one of the higher packages for Direct TV because I have to have ALL the sports.

I watch some old shows on Tubi for free.

But I like old stuff.

My wife has Disney+ and Hulu (ad supported) and I think Paramount.

Canceled cable early in the year and haven't missed it. Saved a good bit too. Of course Spectrum really wants my business now and keeps sending me offers (with the fine print they aren't good offers). I'm saving up the mailers they send and I'm going to return all of them soon to the post office marked "Return to Sender." I do the same thing with political mailers - I don't care who the candidate might be.

90% of the time I just watch channels over my antenna. I like MeTv and watch it 75% of the time.

Don't forgot the cost of internet service, which is part of the typical cable bundle -- that's probably a part of that $100 in savings.

Paramount has Yellowstone…a tremendous show.

Apple TV also has some good shows: The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Defending Jacob, etc.

Prime - you didn’t even mention this one, and there are some great shows.

Just depends on what you’re into.

That’s fair.

I haven’t watched Yellowstone so I probably didn’t give Paramount a fair shake.

I also haven’t watched Ted Lasso yet but I did watch some of The Morning Show and all of Defending Jacob. Defending Jacob was good but I felt like The Morning Show was way over hyped for what it delivered. To each his own.

I didn’t include Amazon because I’ve always looked at it as a “perk” to a prime account. I wouldn’t consider what they offer compelling enough to get a stand alone subscription if they offered it.

Good thing about Disney + is that after their movies have ran their course on the main screen, you can watch them free on +. They have some new shows, marvel and stars wars oriented that maybe good if you watch those venues.

I was shocked they had Shang Shi, Jungle Cruise, etc on for free so fast. My kids love Disney plus.

For us the savings counts all of it - streaming and internet. It may not be so for others, but for us it is. But again, our biggest cost was satellite/cable because we had a pricey package.

I even have a stand alone MLBTV subscription that I split with Daddy so we can watch our Dodgers.

If you are a fan of Disney, as I was growing up in the 60's, there are still some great old movies one can stream and watch along (in my case) with my grandchildren. The biggest difference is that I get to watch them now in color, as opposed to the black and white television we had with four viewing channels and a turn dial knob. For the content, I don't believe you will find a better deal with their bundle.

If you liked the movie Shang Shi, you should find the Disney series of the "Behind the scenes" episode in which this movie was featured. It was about 45 minutes in length and very entertaining to watch as well.

YouTube TV is the Best streaming service. You have an Unlimited DVR for Sports,Movies and Shows. You cN try it for free.

It is Awesome for $69.00 a month. 3 streams for that price. You can record more movies, sports and shows than you can ever watch.
This is how we got caught up on Yellowstone. We were a couple of years behind, mine and my wife's favorite Show.

We also Have Amazon Prime. We pay for this because my wife and I like to shop Amazon get Free Shipping. The content is OK. Will allow you to Broadcast live Thursday Night NFL games on Any Electonic Device.

We also have Paramount Plus. It is the Old CBS All Access Subscription.
I love it for Steaming Live CBS Football on Any Device College and CBS NFL on any Electronic Device.
Of Course great to have for the NCAA basketball Content for BB Fans.

We use to have Netflix and Hulu On demand.
When we made the Decision to go with YouTube TV has Paramount Channel with Yellowstone, New Spin Off from Yellowstone, "1883"Starts Dec 19th.

Sports it will let you Start from the beginning of a Broadcast after the game has already started and been playing.

We dropped Netflix and Hulu, because We didn't need the On Demand content, because of YoutubeTVs Unlimited DVR

It's has TCM Turner Classic Movies for those who like the the Old Classics. We watched the Classic Christmas Movie Chirstmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck.

We do try to get Netflix one or two moths a year because we are Cobra Kai fans and My wife Loves Outlander the Starz Series.

Netflix Cost the Most for Ondemand Content so we cut expenses by dumping Netflix and Hulu On demand.
A person could get along fine with just YOUTUBETV because of that Unlimited DVR and All of its Live Ntework Channels.

We have been Cord Cutters for years Now.
