I don't post or interact with fans on really any forum be it reddit or this one, but I do view them from time to time and I have never seen the NM thing before. What does that stand for GamecockCentral?

In the olden days before Rivals, we had a web site where you could see all of the subject lines at one time and when you replied to one post you could change the subject line in your response. We made a short comment in the subject line but the web site required the message text field to contain something (like it does now). People would put nm for no message and also put ** at the end of the subject line to indicate to the reader that they didn’t need to go to the trouble of opening the posted message.
For a short example:
Subject line: Beets recipe
Text: ... goes on and on with a recipe ...
Response subject line: I don’t like beets**
Text: nm
When you looked at the web page you saw:
Beets recipe
I don’t like beets**
along with other threads.
