Coach Beamer is a good face for our program. He's been accessible, articulate and enthusiastic. He is passionate and works hard. He is organized and has brought in a lot of good players. He's been a good sideline coach so far. He has a history of being a good recruiter.
We are now lacking the talent of top tier SEC schools, so we will struggle, at least this season. This can't be fixed right away.
What worries me is that we've appeared disorganized, and sloppy on the field. We have struggled at times to line up right on offense and defense. We've had too many needless penalties. We have not been terribly innovative on offense or defense. Certainly, some of these worries relate to our personnel, not coaching. All can be fixed and may well be in the near future.
Is this needless worry or reason for concern?
