With the departure of South Carolina special teams coordinator/linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler to Texas, Will Muschamp is looking for a 10th assistant to fill out his coaching staff.

Yesterday, we brought up the idea that Will Muschamp could opt to place Kyle Krantz, who was recently brought down to an analyst role, back on the field.

In doing some checking, we are told that is indeed a possibility, but that this is a process that is going to play out through the remainder of this week before Muschamp makes a choice.

We anticipate four or five interviews being conducted before the week is over. That would, in theory, give South Carolina time to make a hire prior to this weekend with a bunch of prospects coming in for junior day. We have not heard a specific timeline for making the hire, however.

I do not have any names of candidates quite yet that have been or are expected to be interviewed, but if we run down some names on that front we will pass them along.
