Who can see 8 or more Legit wins this Football season ?

3 patsies and vandy mean 4 easy wins.

Uga, Clemson, a&m should be chalked up as losses.

That leaves ark, UT, uf, Kent, Missouri to split up. I could see 2-3 out of those.
Arkansas will be pre-season top 20. Same for UK. We have a big boy schedule.

How many home games does everyone expect to attend. My line is 1.5. I plan to make as many as my kids want. That is if we don't play baseball this fall.

We need to get back on the right side of this Kentucky deal. We used to count that as a win and now the Wildturds chalk it up as a sure thing.

Personally looking forward to how we perform in the SEC and against our rival. SC State, Charlotte, and to a slightly lesser extent GA State, are all gimmick games to pad a resume and slip in an irrelevant bowl for $$$.

We were all over the map last season. The UNC game was great. However, the game before that was terrible beyond description. The entire season had that vibe but it was the first season after getting torched by Muschamp.

In most polls, we're currently just above Vandy in the SEC basement. If we can manage to go 3-5 in the SEC, that would look like progress IMO.

6 wins would be my prediction.

That's always my prediction though. It usually is a pretty good one.

Can I see a path to 8–sure.

Will we likely get there—not so sure.

To get there we’re going to have to likely beat: Charlotte, SC State, Georgia State, Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri, Florida and Tennessee.

We could win 8 games and not beat a ranked team.

Got 4 sure wins, 4 sure losses, and 4 toss up types. Everything would have to go perfect. That rarely happens. I say 6-6 and another bottom of the barrel bowl game. And I am afraid that is what this program is going to be. USC recruits decent, but not at the level to challenge Clemson, UGA, Bama, or anybody of relevance on a yearly basis. Most year 6, maybe 7, wins. 8 wins would be a special year. But I don't see hoping for more than that. It is just the way it is.

In my heart I see it but this staff is going to have to to really show they can get more with less and we need big/healthy years from our most talented guys.
It’s all about line play - I see enough talent off the lines to be encouraged.

Although many may want to see this as a "Debbie Downer" post, it is an honest assessment. Of course there will be some high water seasons sprinkled about, the expected average win total is 6-8 wins yearly . In this environment of NIL deals, and the expectation of 2-3 super conferences within 3 years the 8 win total will in all likelihood may be our best output.
Flame away.

Agree. IMO, our team (and many others) are going to present more like a Savannah Bananas event versus a competitive college FB team if the NIL continues as planned. They'll do their best to present as if we've got a chance to compete but the reality is -- in a money-takes-all environment, we will be relegated to a local side show for casual Fall entertainment. They need to "reimagine" the NIL. :)

The NIL will also be a magnet for social contagion. Just like the Dallas Cowboys and others (Yankees, Dodgers) were America's Teams, the same is the case with college football teams. Money from all over the country will flow to the "top teams" because everyone loves a winner. It will significantly enhance the vacuum effect already in existence. The college football elite will be etched in stone.

I'll just say this....we finally settled on an OL right before the Florida game. That whole OL looked good against UNC and I think that was their 5th or 6th game playing together. If Dylan Wonnum(not a starter the last 5 games) finally plays to his talent level then watch out. Better at QB, re-loading at RB, Just as good at TE and WR is better overall as well. Overall our offense will be better and they will have the same OC for a second season.

On the DL we have a war daddy in Pickens and two potential war daddys at DE. Overall better. LB will be the same or better. Our DB position will be better. Cam Smith will be a lockdown corner. Last time we had a war daddy on the DL and a lockdown corner is when we upset Georgia at Georgia in 2019. Overall better defense. Arkansas lost more than we did in the offseason season. That game will be closer than most think. If we win at Arkansas then its on!!!

I think we got a little lucky against bad Florida and Auburn teams last season, which got our hopes up this season. I can’t forget about how bad Clemson blew us out. 30 to ZERO! We couldn’t even score on them! Huge fail. If that happens again, anymore blow outs, especially against Clemson, then Beamer needs to be fired on the spot and let’s get serious about who UofSC hires. Please god don’t let Tanner be involved in another football hire.

I am still optimistic about Beamer it being this early and all. But no excuse to get owned like we did against Clemson. Embarrassing!!! His first season had an improved win/loss ratio. But the season was a fail in my opinion.

No kidding, I think a lot of people here (including myself) locked that Clemson loss away in a far corner of our minds. Beamer failed to get the team ready for that game, IMHO.

Well...we will be better. Arkansas will let us know how much real quickly. Arkansas and Georgia to start off. Typical Carolina scheduling.

If we get the bottom of the barrel Belk Bowl again, coach should tell them to F*** off with the Mayo bath.

That is in line with our history.

Look at 2022’s FPI, not likely SC’s going to pull that off anytime soon.
