Any good Cinderella teams getting to super or CWS?

PA - for all the Butt hurt nellies on here. I know USC didn’t make it. This post wasnt about USC. Sorry it triggered u. Go post on the other 20 threads your already whining on. Hate to remind you. Our season is over. It’s been over and nothings changing for at least one more year unless a top program “like” the taters come after Kingston. ) There - you still have hope )
Seriously. Post negative comments elsewhere.

going to Vegas this week ,putting my money on Tennessee -they have everything you need to go all the way.

Stanford looks the part also. Strong pitching and hitting to match Vols.
Hope there is a Cinderella in Omaha, not sure who that would be right now.
The Irish may not qualify as that, however they pitched a good game last night against Red Raiders.

**Their pitching is that good it appears 😁

I can only pick within the conference because I havent seen much of anyone else. Easy pick would be Tenn but I dont think they have enough of a smallball game to win in Omaha against the best. Same can be said for aTm. I'm gonna go with Arkansas. Not sure they have the pitching for tournament play but if they can stay in the winners bracket most of the time and get hot at the plate, which they are capable of doing, I like their chances. The rest of the SEC field... not feeling it.

Could absolutely care less. Used to enjoy it when USC was on their run. If they aren't there, I won't even watch.

Watching the regionals and now the supers. Clearly this is the year of the hitter. Tough pill to swallow.

UNC, VT, UT, all gone……great day! Sad that’s what it has come to for the Cox, but I’ll take it. No self respecting SC fan could possibly think UGAg in foosball and Tennerssee in baseball is anything but bad for us. Might as well throw UF in for hoops for fun

That’s what I was taught to do since little league
I remember seeing a preseason interview with Eyster where he was saying they had been working on that and we would see how well that would play out this year. That's what you want to hear right? I gotta say I never saw what I saw out of Arkansas that final inning... meat of the lineup looking down at the bat making sure they had a good inch of bat showing, not to mention back to back to back successful attempts.

Maby it had something to do with that particular pitchers movement. I don’t know. Scrappy team

I was pulling for some underdogs to make it to Omaha. ECU blew it in game 2.
Underdog Arkansas took out No. 10 North Carolina, underdog Ole Miss took out No. 11 Southern Miss, underdog Oklahoma took out No4 Virginia Tech and underdog Notre Dame took out No.1 Tennessee. So you got your wish.

What I have found intresting with the exception of a closer or two, is for the most part, good pitching hasnt helped anyone. So if you've always thought good pitching beats good hitting, this year has blown that theory up.

Not sure if everyone has looked at the brackets, but if TN did not choke, all 4 teams on that side of the bracket would have been SEC or soon to be SEC teams. If Auburn wins tonight, the other bracket would include 3 SEC teams out of the 4 teams. They is some great representation. The NCAA baseball playoffs is not about who has been great all year long but who is hot coming into the tournament and staying hot.

UNC did well to get to the SR. And played hard. But like USC they have too many weak hitters they have to count on. UNC reminded me of USC. What a huge let down for that home team after battling to take the lead late in the game only to get walked off.

btw. I was glad to see Tennessee flame out. They were way to high strung with poor sportsmanship.

Another visiting team dog pile.

Not the underdog I was hoping for, Battleship. Was looking for an unheralded team that I could pull for - a non Power 5 that’d never done much. Maybe first time in - a Cinderella story. Ain’t happening. I don’t know who to pull for now. I am not one of those guys that pull for an SEC team just because they are in the SEC. UConn looks like they are going down but I’d have a hard time pulling for them anyway. Was hoping ECU or Southern Miss could get in, but didn’t happen.

Glad it’s not Tennerssee, and hopefully it’s not any current or soon to be SEC team. While it might not make a difference at all, there’s no way it can help us while we continue to be a shell of our former selves while our HC wins 20 games, and 2010-12 becomes further and further. Doubtful any current recruits who are in HS right now are thinking or caring about what USC did when they were 5, and it’s all discouraging

From your point of view the closest thing might be Ole Miss. At least the least objectionable.

Obviously I am for Texas, but look at the opponents. Every team Texas fans absolutely hate. Aggies, Sooners, Notre Damers and Razorbacks. That is the top 4 hated teams by a wide margin for Texas fans.
