Wideman looks like a hoss

This can't be..........don't you know our recruits are not as good as the ones who choose other schools? Just ask all the experts on this board. the ones that got away are much more important than the ones who signed with us according too many of the stealth taters on this board

tngamecock- I totally agree!!! It gets sickening to read some of their post. They love to proclaim that they are "realist" AND they say they "expect nothing less than championships" as IF the rest of posters don't. IF anyone claims guys like Wideman OR Sawyer etc are recruits we can build on then they will quickly bring up guys who decommitted or put down SOS.

Myke gets it.............my favorites is when our 4 star recruit is not as good as the 4 start say......UGA picked up or Auburn got when we were in the running. I'll never forget years ago, the State Rag had on their sports page an article titled "The One That Got Away." It went on to talk about a 3 star receiver that de-committed from us. Now mind you, we picked up Ace Sanders that same time and the article referenced that............Sanders videos were lights out better than the "one that got away." Plus, he was rated higher. Yet, the news was "The One That Got Away." Lots of our fans are like the State Rag.

Which player was it that got away? Wonder if he is in the NFL right now?

There have been years when I would have looked at an average 3.3* class and said it wasn't good enough to catch up to the Bamas and Auburns. But this year we have a lot of JuCo and prep school help coming in. A guy who was a 3* and has been developing for 1-2 years > a 3* right out of HS. The true freshman has potential that they may not achieve. JuCos that we are still recruiting after 2 years have reached at least a good portion of that potential.

The down side is it's just a 2-3 yr Band Aid on the DLine. Recruiting needs to improve next cycle to keep the momentum. Also I'm concerned with who will play QB. If a true freshmen who's coming in this summer is not going to be the answer no matter how good a raw talent he is.

Watson and Barrett seemed to do OK as freshman. And don't say Spurrier's offense is too complex for a freshman to pick up. If it's that complicated maybe he needs to simplify things.

Normally the big uglies along the lines don't get the "star power" of the sexy skill players which is another reason for the lower ranking. In the long run they are the ones that win games more often than not.

Abu Lamin looks like hoss as well. Bbut that didn't help us much last year did it?

BBUT nothing really helped last year. How much did Lamin see the field? How much could he have helped? Inquiring minds want to know.

you said it not me,but i noticed that too i don't no his personal religious preference, but if he would accept
the nickname {Hellboy} it would be fitting.( the gamecocks are coming and their bringing Hellboy with them.)

It is. I said it.

HBC will only be able to install what a freshman can learn. The more simplified it gets, the easier it becomes for defenses to counter.
