Words we butcher in the south

Wal Marts -- all my Upstate cousins say they're going to WalMarts ...
Aksk -- as in aksk yo mama.

My wife is from Glenville by way of Arabi -- a tiny town down around Cordele -- and sometimes she'll say I 'ort' to do what she tells me to do rather than 'ought.'
i thought this one was ax...ax yo mama.

My wife is from NE Ohio....... first time I went up there, they had no idea what a pocketbook was...... apparently it’s a purse....
My great-uncle said warsh, but he was from Indiana. I’ve never heard a southerner say warsh.
I also get picked on by my in-laws for the way I say wudder instead of water, pin instead of pen, ull instead of oil, my wife thought I was saying “bowled peanuts” instead of boiled peanuts, mash instead of press, fixin to, maybe could, piece of a can for not a full can,
J’all- did y’all
