same situation, and same outcome, as betts from UCLA. we don't have a solution to those matchups.
I'm sorry but Feagin ain't the one. I'd rather roll the dice with Joyce. Kitts is too weak, still. Better run a large lineup out there next time we play a team with a stout front court. We either need to find a way to have a competitive front court or we are going to need a lot of favorable upsets and a favorable draw in the tourney to make it to the final four.
I agree with all that you said. I had hoped Tac would be ready quicker. I think Dawn thought Douda would help more but she has been essentially useless. My belief is that Notre Dame and UCLA are a bit above the rest right now. I also think that we have not been playing as well lately, even against the lesser teams. Seemks like the shooting has regressed and I'm not sure why. Pao Pao, Tessa, Raven and Fulwiley are not shooting like they did last year. Joyce has had to carry us at times.
Until proven otherwise, Tac will have to be considered a wasted scholarship. Watkins' loss was extremely detrimental, about which many of our fans have been in denial. All this returning talent, and another national championship seems a universe away.
Yep, Tac, Douda, and the other big girl who transferred in last year are not capable of playing with the dominance we need to win an SEC championship or a Final Four appearance.
I remember a few years ago I thought Raven Johnson was going to be the best player on the team. She had great vision as a PG. I think a problem with the team is too many super stars. Fulwiley doesn't have a chance to let the game come to her. Losing minutes to Maddy? I'd be pssd. Hall can't shoot anymore. Maybe they feel too much pressure to perform in the limited time they have. Too many guards and not enough post players. Love Kitts game, but other teams have figured her out. They swarm to her and rip the ball out as soon as she gets it. Its like 10U basketball. Wouldn't be surprised if some guards left after this season to play more minutes.
Tac, Dauda, Feagin and Walker have to be the worst collection of post players we've ever had. Our most successful seasons had good post play with complimentary guard play.
I had a feeling that losing Watkins was going to cost us a championship. She's a beast under the boards. Our front court has suffered without her in the lineup.
