Clemson's offense is good, but they throw more 50/50 balls than any team I have seen recently. They clearly practice it a LOT to the point that they are no longer 50/50. Watson threw them too and I always thought he was just an anomaly with how many he completed. But then comes Fabio and I noticed that he seems to complete even more of them!
What it seems is that when they get one of their big receivers in one-on-one man coverage, they chuck it down field. If they have the right matchup it can turn into 20 yards or more over and over.
