We got hit hard in Marion, NC with all the flooding. A number of people had to be evacuated. We were very fortunate that our neighborhood didn't get flooded but there were neighborhoods within a few miles are less that received serious flooding. I just thank the Good Lord no one was injured or at least none that I've heard about. It was so bad that the Governor of NC visited McDowell County along with a couple of other counties in WNC.

I think there were at least 4 deaths in WNC attributed to the rain.
