Went to an afternoon Cardinals baseball game. Did not see one good looking person, female or male. Scared to death from car to stadium.

The bratzles (pretzel-wrapped hot dogs) and fresh beer were good, tho.

I went as a young teen (I'm 47 now) to St Louis on our way to a meeting at Kansas City. Our family loved it. Saw the Cards in the old round stadium, went up in the Arch. Had a good visit to Kansas City, too, though I don't remember that one much. But I'm thinking St Louis is not too closely tied to Columbia and Mizzou. Doubt I'll ever go see the Gamecocks play there - although that was probably true long before this saga started. I'm not following a football team a thousand miles unless it's an exotic location, or we are in the playoff.

Neighbor Freshman year in the Honeycombs was from outside of St. Louis. Odd dude. Very different perspective on things from me coming from a small SC town.

Mother-in-law went to Branson years ago. She liked it, but that was the Ozarks in Southern Missouri - a world apart from K.C. or St. Louis or Columbia, MO.

Funny, Columbia, MO., home of the University of Missouri, is in the heart of 'Little Dixie' an area of Central Missouri that was settled by mostly Southerners back in the early 1800's. You'd think Mizzou would have more in common with the SEC than it appears to have. I just get the 'weirdies' about Missouri and Mizzou - maybe things will settle down later

Couldn't get my a$$ through it fast enough. Even enjoyed driving through Kansas better.

Have been to St. Louis several times. I have enjoyed my visits there but I wouldn't want to live in St. Louis or any other big city. Overall, Missouri is pretty much like most states - it has some nice places and some bad ones.

Went to the USC - Mizzou football game a couple of years ago. Had barbecue in St. Louis before the two hour drive to Columbia. Was treated very well and had a reasonably good time. Wouldn't put it on my bucket list as a must see spot, but overall not too bad.

St Louis is a nice city as for as I'm concerned. I spent 2 1/2 years near there at Scott Air Force Base. It has some very nice areas and some good restaurants. The Hill Section with all the Italian restaurants is really unique. The new baseball stadium has a fan Village built beside it where the old Busch Stadium was located. There are casinos on the east and west side of the city. To me it's the easiest large city as for as driving is concerned.

Comparing St Louis to Columbia, Mo is like so many people on here that call Greenville Clemson.

I got lost in St. Louis one time.....I stopped and asked for directions and this guy spray painted Honky Lips on the side of my station wagon.....lot of blight there....

Kansas City is a wonderful town. A very under-rated big city in terms of livability and culture. I have spent a good bit of time there. The restored Union Station is a gem. The National WW I museum is in the same area and is something anyone interested in history should take the time to visit. Amazing food (not just bbq), incredible music scene, and a surprisingly progressive culture. These people are crazy about their sports too. Oh, and Lawrence, KS is an hour west, which is one of the great college towns.

Spent a week in KC on business. Was introduced to "Burnt Ends". Made it a mission to try a different establishment that served this every night I was there.
If you like BBQ brisket this is on a whole other level.

Did he spray paint the words “Honky Lips” while you sat there? That’s nine letters. Why were you unable to speed off before he completed nine letters? At a minimum you could have just intended up with “Ho” instead.

Went for the football game this past fall via St. Louis. Enjoyed the Arch and the claustrophobic ascendancy to get to the top. Thought that was great. Cards ballpark was terrific... Especially mall around it. Otherwise, SL another Midwest town. Ride over to Columbia Mo was barren. Town and campus was like stadium...adequate and functional but not exciting.

I flew into. St. Louis back in the 90’s for a 2 hour meeting. Then caught the plane and headed home. All I remember is there must be a big McDonalds in town because I saw its giant arch.
