It's hard to be at two places at once... That's why they invented Radio...

And even on radio, they are bad... Might as well be the Braves players in Carolina uniform...

I much rather watch Clemson play, at least I can heckle them and enjoy it...

You can't be real. Are you just some tater over here posing as a Gamecock?
That has to be it...nobody and I mean nobody is that stupid. He is just having fun trying to rile up our fan base. I don't think anyone is as sold on their wife or family as he "pretends" to be about Holbrook. I am not going to be a part of his idiotic posts anymore. It's not serious....

every game we already played this season mattered, we just lost them all. this season just ended last weekend with a series loss to UT. not a chance in hell I waste any more time on a holbrok led team this season. if the team doesn't do its job and act like it wants to be there, why should we as fans?

Yep. I will be there with my kids. Like most, I'm disappointed in the season, but I won't give up on my team. I'll be there to watch and my kids love going to the games (they'll forget about the score the next day... maybe we should take lessons in that).

Not ready to can our coach after 1 bad year. There is no doubt in my mind that he knows baseball otherwise he wouldn't have been such a prized assistant here and at UNC. I believe part of coaching is figuring out how to fix things when they go wrong. Last year he figured out how to win 40 games and get to NCAAs despite all of the injuries. This year he needs to figure out whether it was recruiting (since his assistants take over more of that role that he used to occupy), was it playing too many guys early in the season and not having a true lineup, was it just simply guys weren't as good as we'd hoped (that happens).... either way, it's his job to figure it out and get the team back up next year. Any program is going to have some down years in any sport, the true test is how it rebounds.

I don't think one bad season indicates the program is in decline. To want to go to Omaha every year is fine, but to expect it is ridiculous. I don't consider year 1 (Super Regional game 3 loss at a higher seeded team's field) a bad year. I don't consider last year a bad year (lost in regional despite numerous injuries all year). I don't see that as a decline, because if that's the case, then the program was in decline in 2012 when they lost the title game. This year, yep, bad year by our regular standards, no question.

Clearly bashing the coach who is not going anywhere after this season doesn't do any good... and only makes it look bad for recruits. He'll be our coach next year regardless, so I'll support my team and just enjoy a night at the ballpark!

I want what you all want - to get back to Omaha. Hopefully that day comes soon. Go Gamecocks!

Perhaps we should ask folks if they'll go to the Auburn series this weekend before we start asking them about the Wofford game next week? After all, it is an SEC series. I know every game is important, but I dare say the series this weekend is just a little bit more crucial.

I think that we left that Tennessee series as "a point of no return". We're pretty much done for this season.

You realize we play Wofford a week from now, right? And that the Auburn home series is before that?

"Not ready to can our coach after 1 bad year."

But, this hasn't been "1 bad year." It has been 3 years of steady, measurable, undeniable decline.

Speak with your wallets. Don't support this crap. Unfortunately I can't take away the baseball part of my student activities fee, but I just like to imagine I paid that money all into a successful/improving program like the two basketball teams.

people i think I have figured it out. "Supercock1984" is actually the latest incarnation of "skycock". He's like a slightly more annoying "Cock Hudson": he keeps coming back with a new handle, but he's not anywhere near as entertaining to read...

Totally disagree.... it has been 1 bad year. By your measurement, anything less than Omaha is a bad year. Therefore Tanner should have been fired after 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009? Or perhaps he should have been fired for that steep decline in 2012 when they lost the national championships game?

I don't see how losing in the Super Regional on the road against a higher seeded team (Chad's first year) is a "decline."
As stated earlier, last year, he should have been coach of the year for getting 40 wins and hosting a regional after all the injuries that decimated the team throughout the year. I don't see those first 2 years as "undeniable decline." This year, bad year, no question... but that's only 1 in my book.

Either way, since Chad will be the coach next year, I'm supporting him and hoping it can be turned around next year. Go Gamecocks!

He's tater pretending to be a Gamecock. He "loves" Holbrook but doesn't know our schedule....get real !

i think superflyby is correct....something not right about this so called gamecock fan....i smell potatoes

I am more confident about Auburn, since we struggle with Mid a Week games, but very confident Holbrook will get a couple of these mid week games as the season goes

you know a topic has ceased to be anything other than a full-on tard fest when both sides can't do anything but argue about things the other side did NOT say, and anytime someone tries to interject something interesting into the discussion it gets completely ignored

this topic has officially crossed that threshold

Superflyby doesn't know me
I know you well.....you are just trying to dig where you can to upset Gamecock fans. I think everyone is on to you so your responses will be less and less.....this is my last one. You guys have enough of a problem with Jack....go praise him for a while.

Exactly!!! People keep pointing out that it's just one bad season, but it took at least 2 or 3 years of not so good recruiting that played a big part in leading up to this bad season. It didn't just happen overnight folks, this bad season was in the incubation stage three years ago. Just like in football, we missed on a number of defensive recruits over the last 2-3 years and we saw how it all came together in 2014, along with poor defensive coaching. Hopefully much of that defensive nightmare has been corrected with new recruits and a new DC.

Now, what will happen with the BB coaching (if anything) to help correct this decline remains to be seen.

Losing to a mediocre Maryland team in a home regional is a bad year. Missing the playoffs entirely is unacceptable. Yes there has been an undeniable decline.

I for one,am very excited about Holbrook and what he is doing,he brings a level of fire and competiveness that we need to get things back on track,he does make some sketchy decisions , but I love and admire him, he will get things right!! Go Cocks!!!!!!!

Lol...CH is a bozo

"Holbrook reads the message boards" ...hate to tell you this but 99.5 pct of coaches don't read message boards. If he is reading fgf then we really don't want him around here anyway. I hope your posts are sarcasm.

Maybe if CH truly gave a crap about the young men he has screwed over I would give a rip about him so to answer your question, no I don't care how he feels.
