FYI...to hopefully bring attention to whats about to happen if there's not some serious push back from Scholarship donors. The portion of the proposed plan to "enhance the Game Day experience" involving West side Level 100 members will in effect shut off access for anyone sitting in sections 1-9 and totally eliminate the Scholarship Donors lounge....a benefit that has been a part of Scholarship Donors membership for over 30 years will be gone forever with nothing in its place. In turn, there will be the loss of the Nurse's Station as well as bathrooms and the concessions on level 100 for every Scholarship donor sitting in the West side lower level sections 1-9. Interestingly there will be no additional seating in those 7 rows behind the short wall and capacity will remain at 1,558 seats. In order for those presently with seats in those 7 rows to be able to keep their seats, they will be required to pay approximately an additional $500 for each seat. The reason behind these proposed changes is to raise revenue to replace that lost by members that have dropped out some of which is because of the IRS eliminating the tax write off which has also caused Employers to eliminate their Matching Gift program. A much more sensible plan would be instead to greatly enlarge the existing Scholarship Donors lounge and apply some of the same enhancements being proposed in the present plan on the table. This could mean maybe an increase in Scholarship Donors membership however say that increase were $200, its estimated that would increase the needed revenue by approx $1,000,000 where as the plan being considered now will
only raise around $778,000. At any rate if there's not a serious outcry from Scholarship Donors with complaints to all those involved in railroading this plan, we can sit in the rain and heat with no place to go for relief beginning with the 2020 season or give it all up which interestingly will only increase the revenue shortfall. Quite a slippery slope and a gamble for those in charge to ramrod the present plan thru knowing the negative effect that will have on Scholarship Donors sitting in Sections 1-9.
