Virginia Tech might be interested in Malzhan. But I think yesterday,s win over UVA saved Fuente's job for the time being.

Freeze will be there quicker than one can say Freeze.
I hope Freeze does go there. For once he will have to play by the rules. With Pearl already under the microscope and Freeze’s previous problems the SEC will probably have an office on campus.
Tend to agree with you but wasn’t Gus at Arkansas State when he was hired at Auburn . I know he worked under Gene but Arky state was as big as stretch as coastal . I agree they will want a home run hire but I not sure they even have the cajones to hire Freeze . Whoever hires freeze will have a lot of unwanted eyes on them .
I think Gus had worked for Auburn before he went to coach Arkansas State. He had the inside track back to replacing Chizik.

You are 100% correct. Anyone saying any different is a BS artist. What needs to be addressed is how/why Jimmy Sexton continually throws his scraps at USC first (despite our always being in front on the coaching search)....and then holds onto his better cards for the bigger jobs. That is an issue needing addresing.
He hasn't shown up to do anything yet, despite being "on the job" for over a week.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know - smart phones, no contact recruiting and all. The most important thing is meeting with and CONVINCING staff to come be part of his group. I feel like the proper way to do that is a lot of face to face.
I think Swinney has enjoyed the fruits of his being pretty aggressive going after Venables. He could've texted him a couple times and waited to see what he thought....and just snagged him I guess.........maybe?

Tennesse= Chadwell OR Napier.
I mean....both those programs will pay, and aren't scared to make big moves.
I would love J. Pruitt as a DC at Carolina. Would be perfect fit for him, and that is what he is (not a HC). Doesn't have the even demeanor to be a HC...he's a defensive side guy only all the way.
I believe Pruitt will get another year. Tennessee doesn’t want to be coach shopping with AU and others this year. Pruitt is in his 3rd year I believe and I think he will get a 4th
I honestly wonder if Auburn isn't set up better for Chadwell to take over. But I doubt they go that route.
Regarding Pruitt coming here: He doesn't play well with others. You don't want to stick him with a rookie HC.

Yep, he'll make more in the next 30 days than most of us will make in our lifetimes...many of us combined. But he'll get paid that much to not work. Crazy.
