Sounds like the kind of programming ESPN had in it’s early days. The three networks had all the contracts with the major sports, so ESPN showed whatever they could find. I remember watching dart tournaments (which were always held in bars) and a lot of Australian Rules Football... which I came to understand, appreciate and enjoy.
