While I think we have had a history of mediocre QB play here it is worth point out that Shaw is fifth on the all time list of passing yards, 2nd all time in TDs and has a higher yards per attempt average and half the INTs of the guys ahead of him on the list.Good Lord.

No offense to Shaw, God knows he's worshipped by fans, and he certainly RAN us to a couple of W's, but a great passer he wasn't. It maddeningly took him to his senior year to develop enough confidence to pull the trigger across the middle, and his passing success was due more to the gymnastic/acrobatic abilities of the elite group of receivers he was blessed with. That's why it tickles me when I see shade thrown at any of our qbs because an incompletion was a little behind or high.
So it’s likely that both Shaw being one of the best QBs we’ve had come through here and Shaw isn’t exactly on the same level of Jalen Hurts can both be true.
