We have a top ten team with a lot of hype coming into Columbia for a Saturday night primetime game. We have a chance to prove ourselves on a national stage. Are we going to step up to the challenge or do like we have so many times in the past and find a way to lose?

I’ll never forget the GameDay hype when we hosted Florida in the late game and they destroyed us. Very, very embarrassing indeed.

We've performed very well this season against highly-ranked teams with far more talent.

Let's see how it shakes out this weekend.

Talent Tale of the Tape

5-stars

A&M: 12
USC: 3

4-stars
A&M: 60

Interesting stats. There's probably that kind of discrepancy between us and A&M most seasons (like UGA in past seasons, LSU, Bama).

There's actually a larger divide between the "haves" and "have nots" than there used to be because of the NIL and the recruiting numbers reflect that.

A&M was #1 in recruiting in 2022 and were in the headlines as having the biggest NIL budget that season.

Saban, Spurrier and Kiffin each had jabs targeting A&M and their buying habits.

The claim was that they spent $60mil on recruits that cycle.

And your trolling never ends. Please explain to us why acquired talent doesn't matter in this game. Looking forward to it.

Curious where you get your numbers from because 247 has it as

A&M
5 Stars - 7
4 Stars - 43

USC
5 Stars - 3
4 Stars - 27

which is significantly closer than your numbers.

Same site. 2021-2024. Can you please break that down year by year from your end? Shouldn't take a minute.

Ah, so you posted the incorrect numbers?

That's unsurprising.

So you were trolling. It was either that or Humanities Math. 50-50.

Watson - We realize you get a large dopa hit from your witchcraft.

But you're not going to have too many people responding with these obvious moves.

I agree with much of this. Big chance for Carolina to kind of make our season. I don't personally think we find a way to lose so often as the better team just wins at the end. Unfortunately we are not usually the better team in these games and that includes this game.
It's however you want to see it tho so no argument here. We'll all know if we show up ready to play with a coherent game plan. If not it will be ugly and Beamer will catch the hell he deserves.
We'll all know if it's a great game and they just out talent us; they do have more talent. Our eyes won't lie but some of our fans will. That's OK with me. Have at it.
Honestly I don't care if we look like sht as long as we somehow win the game. Go Cocks!

Below is a really interesting comparison between the pre-NIL & current NIL numbers.

Comparison of 4-years recruiting between USC & A&M with NIL (2021-2024)

5-stars
A&M: 12
USC: 3

4-stars
A&M: 60
USC: 26

Comparison of 4-years recruiting between USC & A&M before NIL (2016-2019)

5-stars
A&M: 2
USC: 1

4-stars
A&M: 43
USC: 26

Takeaways
- Clearly the divide is far greater with the NIL
- The 5-star recruits difference for A&M after the advent of the NIL leaps off the page. (400% increase)
- 40% more 4-stars for A&M too with NIL.
- Muschamp was considered a very good recruiter. Beamer is doing those same figures.

*Please note that the pre-NIL figures would even be more balanced between the two teams if A&M hadn't hired their $100mil coach in Jimbo Fischer which caused a major surge in recruits in 2018 & 2019 -- The Hype Train.

If you are referring to 2022 when Florida beat us 38-6, thankfully Beamer fixed that. He did not specifically say who, how, are what, but he said things would have to change. I am sure he meant Satterfield's play book.
The next 2 weeks we beat Tenn. and Clemson, but we played a totally different scheme than we had all year. We got to the bowl and all of the sudden some of those old plays came back. I am sure he was going to get fired but the next week Satterfield said he was gone.
I feel Loggains has had to wait on Sellers and the OL line and receivers to develop more before he could try some new things, but Shane said Tues. there would be some differences. I think him and Loggains feel they are ready now, and I think they will blow A&M away.

You are nothing if not optimistic.

I agree with you about Satterfield. Benching him, and then getting rid of him entirely was the best move Beamer has made so far.

Except Satterfield took the Nebraska job after that epic Clemson game, not after the bowl. If the bowl looked like the same old plays, it wasn't because of Satterfield. Kinda blew a hole in the whole "phantom play caller" stupidity. Haven't looked anywhere close to the same since.

But I think you are right. Beamer's mentality is to play conservative and not let a struggling QB's mistakes beat us. Rattler was a mess when he got here. He had been benched at Oklahoma. Made some bad mistakes early on. But I think after the Florida game the staff decided to just let it rip. I see the same thing with Sellers. Hopefully you are correct and Beamer decides to open it up and see what happens. I'd rather see that anyway. If we are going to lose, I'd rather lose by more being aggressive on offense than lose by less being conservative. A bigger loss would give the howling monkeys more to cry about, but they are going to cry anyway and what they think matters to exactly nobody anyway, so let it rip.

Lmao

Mrs Satterfield comes running when someone points out her husband being canned.

Same old lying troll howling monkey. I told you idiots that you would FAFO. And I was right. Set us back 2 years.

And the best move BY FAR by Beamer was hiring Clayton White.

Of course, the same howling monkeys that hated Satterfield thought White was "saving his job" last year. LOL

Dumber than dumb.

Everyone is overreacting on White when we are facing an entire defensive rebuild next year.

Took him four years to find a defense. Can he replace them right away or is it going to be another four years?

That's going to be EVERY year with EVERY coach for us from now until forever unless something changes with the transfer portal.

Getting rid of Satterfield was an awesome move, and it didn't set us back at all. No matter how much you cry about it.

Well, I know it set you back a bunch in therapy bills. Maybe that counts for you, but for the program and the real fans, getting rid of Satterfield was awesome.

Awesome, if you like losing.

Spurrier win percentage: .637
Satterfield win percentage: .625
Since Satterfield left: .45

Of course, nobody believes any of you trolls are actually SC fans, so I see why you find it awesome.

Satterfield was garbage, and "his" two best wins were when he sat there holding a clipboard.

No one thinks he's anywhere NEAR the OC that spurrier is except morons like you who think with their vagina instead of their brain.

But don't worry. You can pretend this never happened when you change your login name for the new coach.

Howling monkey living in conspiracy theories.

Shane Beamer: Marcus Satterfield 'called every single play'

https://www.on3.com/teams/south-car...ays-south-carolina-tennessee-gamecockcentral/

Another site even went to video to prove it, but howling monkeys gonna howl.

"A rewatch of the contest by GamecockCentral.com indeed showed Satterfield on multiple occasions consulting his play sheet and calling out plays either from the sideline or in the huddle during a timeout."

Sad to see Satterfield still living rent free in your little pea brain 2 years after he left. $600K raise and free rent in your head. Hilarious.

And he wasn't as good as Spurrier. Slightly lower winning percentage.

Spurrier win percentage: .637
Satterfield win percentage: .625

Might have been closer if Spurrier had stuck around and took the beatings he helped create at the end of his last season.

I love when little retards scream "conspiracy theory" like a good little liberal woman.

Just as good as admitting i am right.

Amd living in my head? Lmao.
You say that because you hate being reminded that you got your panties all wet thinking about Satterfield, and he crashed and burned.

No, I'll keep reminding you of it. Because it's funny, and because I know it kills you.

Very good points for consideration. Hopefully the offense has indeed evolved. The Florida game I was referring to was one during the Holtz years I believe. After a great GameDay morning Florida stomped us by 50 points.

Obviously, the FUN for you is losing. Because we certainly have done more of it since Satterfield left. FACT.

Another wrong assumption from you.

But you almost approach a point with the second part. Beamer fired Satterfield only to go out and prove he could hire someone equally as bad.

I wonder what this team would be like if we had a real OC.

Maybe we could rehire Satterfield for a day, so that we can fire him again to kick off a couple good games?
