Welcome to another edition of Gamecock Central Braves Baseball ⚾️ Postseason Chat 💬. I am your host @Pfunk Cock along with a plethora of regular participants in the chat. I keep hearing pundits state that this is similar to last season when the. Raves also had a 3-1 lead only to be defeated 3 straight games for the heartbreaking game 7 loss. Yes, writers and pundits need to create drama and interest to keek fans interested in their initial prognosis of how the series would play out. They don’t want to go back and redo all of their homework to make changes along the way. They want to be proven right no matter what they see happening in real time. This is not last year when the Braves literally had no starting g pitching at the end of the season and we’re counting on rookies out of the bullpen to carry their water. The roles are reversed as injuries and exhausted arms are a problem in the other dugout. No one wishes injuries to happen, especially at crucial moments like these. I enjoy competitive, good baseball and respect players for all they do too ok get to this level and this big stage. The Dodgers had a grueling 5 game series against the Giants and had to use a lot of pitching to get there. Then because if their wild card stays , they had to fly cross country to play the Braves. That is the crucial aspect that truly benefitted the Division winners. The Braves were allowed to rest as the Giant and Dodgers played and the dodgers then had to fly across the country for the 2 game series in Atlanta. The Braves are more rested and have their pitching aligned perfectly to complete this series win. No I am not bragging or boasting, I am stating facts that have played an important role in the postseason series this far. The Dodgers pitching staff has been more taxed and fatigue is a natural occurrence because of over usage. A war of Attrition plain and simple.

Pregame Analysis
The Braves will throw Max Fried tonight in a clinching opportunity. He is big game Max and has been for the last two seasons. The young Lefty has been a front line warrior for the Braves. He has a lively fastball and a biting curveball that he throws at variable speeds, he has a slider and is developing a change up. The more pitches or arrows he possesses in his quill. He tends to struggle early finding his rhythm and release point but once established he is a force to reckon with. He is also a very good hitter so he extends the Braves already potent offense. I expect 6-7 innings tonight and would be surprised if it does not come to pass. The dodgers are dangerous when their backs are against the wall and their backs are most definitely against the wall. They are throwing a bullpen game tonight starting with Joe Kelly. Who knows how long he will go but this is the postseason and I remember Minter shining bright last year and Wilson coming out party so nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the postseason. I am very respectful of the organization and I know they will give it their all to no lose on their home field. Their team has a lo of talent and pride but I think the bullpen has logged too many innings to remain effective. The war of attrition is real and we are witnessing the effects of tight competition first hand. Tune in tonight and let’s rock the chat. Go Gamecocks and Chop On! Roll Call 7:30
