I just mute the TV and read a book or do something else until the kickoff. There's only so much that can be said about a matchup.

I have my Youtube tv set to record pretty much all games, so for any games other than ours I just don't start watching them until I've got a bunch of what I call "fast forward time" built up. Then I start at kickoff and fast forward through time outs, commercials etc. The only downside is you have to stay away from the net or anything else that will give you the score.

I try to watch everything like that. Cuts watching time in half. Way too many commercials on everything these days
