Citrus Bowl bound-

Nice. While it's disappointing regarding the CFP snub, it's still probably the best bowl we could have hoped for.

Big payout- higher than 1st round playoff games I read

and also easy trip for fans to get down and back easily.

and from a fun standpoint, I have to think the Citrus Bowl is second to none when it comes to having a lot of fun things planned for the team, band, and fans that want to participate in bowl activities.

Seriously....playing devils advocate: Lose 1st rd of playoffs and your season is over 12/21. Nothing else to look forward to.
The playoffs can be brutal. If taters lose to UTex...they're done in Austin TX.

Nothing like bowl game week, etc.
Now we clearly have something to look forward to and hopefully find a way to win our 10th game.

Kinda weird that we know ours but the SEC hasn't released it's pecking order keeping Michigan, Duke, Texas Tech and SoCal waiting to see who they play

I agree. It's nice to have sit there with and do family stuff on Christmas Eve and Christmas day and still have a nice bowl game to look forward to.

Tickets are going really fast. Bought 5 this evening and just in the process of finding out where I wanted to sit, two different sets of 5 tickets together I was looking at (but had not selected yet) disappeared.

So if you are buying them, I'd do it ASAP

Just bought 4 and the same thing happened. Feel like a sucker but didn't want to wait to find out. This will be the first bowl game for my kids. I honestly don't care to go, but i think the kids need to experience one. Wonder how busy Disney is going to be.

It will be busy. Pick what day you want to hit a park and pick one that does not have extended hours. Usually the parks with extended hours will be busier, but it will be busy regardless.

Anyone know the bowl itinerary yet? I'm sure I will have to meet up with them at some point.

I just know there is a pep rally the day before the game in orlando with the band, cheerleaders, etc- and maybe Coach Beamer talking, etc.

wanted to follow up with you on this.

We are also not going to Disney or any of the parks on this trip. Now, we've been to Disney 14 times since 2004. Yes, really. (Not to mention 4 trips to Universal).

But, if you decide it's not going to feasible to hit Disney, there are some other things that will occupy your time in Orlando. If you are going for a very short trip, you can hit the huge ferris wheel at ICON park. That's not a theme park but it's a fun thing for adults and kids. It's only about a 20 minute ride but everyone will enjoy it.

You can also easily ride out to Cape Canaveral and do a tour there and drive back. That's an easy day trip. Won't be as expensive and depending on your kids, it's fun for everyone in the family and an easy drive.

Working on the plan now. I've scored tix and looking for a place to use my Marriott points. Then I'll look into the activities. If I do Disney I'll wait until 7pm to go in.
