Hasn't been the best year, and I know we were struggling before was hurt
( two rough outings while he was hurt). But not having him hurt down the stretch.......Does anyone else feel we would have won against said Auburn and Tenn, if we had him?

We might have but doubtful. We just played too poorly in all areas of the game.
Clearly if you've placed yourselves in a situation where you've got to win series against TAMU and LSU on consecutive weekends, you've already screwed up. We didn't miss an opportunity to go to a regional this weekend, we missed it 6-8 weeks ago losing to teams we had no business losing to. Crowes injury certainly didn't help, but you got to find way to overcome that. "Win anyway".

Last year we used the injury excuse. Can't use it this year for not making the tournament. Didn't need Crowe to win all those midweek games we lost.

Question for anyone: Wasn't Crowe a pretty good offensive player in high school? I know he can't pitch next year, but could he DH? We need some bats in the lineup.

Team just didn't have it this year even with Crowe. Couldn't hit, pitch or play defense. Overall it is amazing we won as many games as we did with this bunch. Will lose to Mizzou in 1st game of SEC Tourney so finally the bleedng can stop. Have followed Carolina baseball since 1973 and this was one of the worst teams I've ever seen us put on the field. Gotta go get some players now for next year or it will be even worse year with pitching we have returning and losing Kmart.

Mizzou is really struggling now. They've lost 8 of their last 9 games. We've been pretty good in the first game of series, beating A&M and LSU the first game the previous two weeks. No reason we can't find our way into the winners' bracket. But the way this season has gone, who knows?

#7 ranked class committed to come for next season. May lose a few to majors, as does most everyone else. Help is on the way.

During our national championship runs, my Clemson friends could not believe the size of the players on our team and seriously thought we were taking steroids.

They do not make those comments anymore.

We didn't intimidate anybody getting off the bus during our championship run. We played as a team and made no excuses regardless of the situation. That was the mentality of Ray Tanner and the baseball team took on that persona. If you remember, the commentators gave us no shot against Florida because they were so big. Baseball is a game where size does not matter between the lines. Was anyone scared of the size of Jackie Bradley, Wingo, Mooney, etc? The answer is "No", but they played the game as it was supposed to be played, as a team. We caught lightning in a bottle for 3 years. It's not easy to do that for that long. We should appreciate where we have been and where we will be going. Nobody likes where we are at right now, but Coach Holbrook will find his way. It just takes the right chemistry.

Not saying that is the only ingredient for winning, but we certainly had some hosses just a few seasons ago. LSU's players looked bigger and stronger than our bunch did this past week. I have seen similar comments from others earlier in the season.
