As we both know, governors authorize their state national guards, not a President as some seem to think.
FEMA was on the ground in North Carolina before the storm.
Over 5,000 National Guard Troops (not counting Florida) were already on the ground (and in the air) in North Carolina
McMaster has already said the federal response he had received had been good. Kemp in Georgia said he had a good response from talking to Biden and that he felt that anything he needed would be provided.
Left out of this is that South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee have robust state emergency management divisions and resources.

its literally just a technicality. Technically the guard belong to the state, DeSantis is just authorizing the federal government to use his national guard (and pay for it ) so there is no skin in the game from Ron.
