Dawn being Dawn at ESPYs

Michelle was promoting poisoning yourself with corporate chemicals while Kennedy is alerting Americans to those same chemicals and will get them removed from our food supply.

Just a slight distinction.

It was the exact opposite.

The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act changed nutrition standards for the National School Lunch Program by requiring that schools serve more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fat-free and/or low-fat milk more frequently and less starchy vegetables or foods high in sodium and trans fat, or those chemically processed.

Then the Trump administration reversed some of those

The Trump administration altered the nutritional standards in 2018 to allow for fewer whole grains and more sodium and sugar. Then in January 2020, the Trump administration allowed schools to reduce the servings of vegetables offered to students.

Michelle Obama's program was focused on school districts using local farmers and engaging in sourcing from local farms. She also advocated for the changes to the USDA to limit sugar and salt to school lunch programs.

She wasn't advocating for "corporate chemicals." LOL. That's ludicrous.

The Obama Administration finalized long-anticipated changes to the nutrition standards that regulate school meals. Among the changes that include limits on added sugar and an effort to reduce salt in school meals.

Also, starting July 1, when districts put out a call for an unprocessed or minimally processed food—whether it’s tomatoes, taco meat, or tuna—they’ll be able to specify the food be “locally grown, locally raised, or locally caught.”

I don't think there is any irony. It's clear that Elon is supporting Trump because he's going to get significantly richer in the process.

Last term, Trump rode the wave of the Obama economy. "Main Street" was enjoying the prosperity of that economy while the stocks were booming. It will be interesting to see how Main Street handles it if they don't benefit from this economy the same way the richest Americans are going to benefit.

What a crock of shit. Obama's economy is the reason Trump was elected the first time.

You might want to get caught up on real nutrition, Dave.

Cereal grains rip up your gut and cause nutritional deficiencies.

Sodium is good for you.

Sugar is fine if it's not processed in starchy carbs and fake foods.

You've been sold a lie.

Start with simple Paleo Principles and go from there.

Kennedy might end up being your best friend.

@DeeDave it's truly amazing how these guys can just make up blatant lies and believe them.

I don't think they believe them. I think they make it up- but they don't really believe it themselves.

It's pretty damn easy to look up that - right or wrong- the Obama administration (with Michelle Obama being the most vocal advocate) worked very hard to get schools to source vegetables and food from local farmers, and worked hard to reduce sugar and added sodium in school lunches

and it's pretty damn easy to see the Trump administration specifically reversed some of those efforts- specifically allowing schools to reduce the number of vegetables served to students, to add back high sodium and sugar offerings, and worked to reduce the emphasis on locally sourced food from local farmers.

Anyone that reads these boards but doesn't post can look it up on their own and make up their own mind.

We spend the most on healthcare in the world and get the worse results.

The food industry has sold you lies because they have partnered with the medical industry to grow their base.

The Blackrock Effect.

Read up.

We don't get the worst results in the world.

The results we do get don't match up to a lot of developed countries but there are many reasons for that (not just food related) -

None of which have anything to do with our school lunch programs which I was discussing- and which you can't seem to understand.

Fair point. The first person makes it up but the second person is too dumb to fact check it because they want to agree with their own.

Well, it's often difficult.

Ward takes one comment and replies about something unrelated to try to make another point. It's mind-numbingly stupid and it's why this entire thread is stupid at this point.

You and Watson are a perfect union. Both of you have been wrong about everything for the last four years.

Based on today's conversation, that trend is likely to continue.

I would definitely trust the doctor.

I don't trust people based just on their looks. That's also a terribly stupid way to determine who knows more about anything, or who is more healthy or anything else.

it would be interesting to see some pictures of some of the people that post on here though. LOL

I mean, one look on social media shows that not everyone posting about eating healthy LOOKS very healthy themselves.

Go with Rachel then. I'm certain her advice will prove eternal.

Meanwhile, adults are returning to the FDA, CDC, and food industry to rechart our course.

Rachel is fired.

I think Biden is happier about Trump winning than Trump. That's a "I told you so" grin if I've ever seen it. Hilarious.

I wonder how RFK explains his Testosterone Replacement Therapy is natural and healthy?

He does a lot of hypocritical things. Just ask his wife - and his former girlfriend.

I mean, we are talking about a man whose wife committed suicide (she hung herself in a barn) and told her friends she was thrown into depression by his rampant adultery. He's not a good person.

I also wonder how all the chick fil a fans will feel when they discover a couple of the chemicals that make that chicken taste so good or suddenly hard to get or not approved. oh my......

I think President Biden was trying to do his best-even go overboard a bit- to show grace to Trump and the transition. He mentioned how important it was to him over the last few days to show the world that a peaceful transfer was the only way for the United States.

I have to think it at least crossed Trump's mind that he didn't offer that same grace to President Biden.

OK Teen Magazine. He's married to one of the stars of longest running TV shows of all time. The former surgeon general has stated he's one of the top minds in our country. He has a slew of friends and support throughout Hollywood, politics and business.

You know as much about Biden's thoughts as you do Staley's.

He's 70 years old and has a better and mind than most 40-year-olds.

So there's that.

But you're not great at deductive thinking so Rachel might be your best horse to ride.
RFK Jr. probably was the reason Trump won the election. He brought over a bunch of voters from swing states. Most of the Libertarian Party was behind him.

LOL. Yeah, such an extremist with all those Christian and American Flag and "We the people" tattoos.

Makes sense why the Biden folks didn't want him at the Inauguration and labeled him as "extreme". His tattoos represent everything they hate. God. America. And the Constitution.
