Oooooh I think we know.........As far as I can tell, all of these negotiations are not open to the public. We would never know.
Patterson will never hold a high or low-profile job in college football again. My guess is no. We are not smart enough to jump on those types of opportunities.
Now for the record I doubt Gary would take the job for obvious reasons but we could try?
Don't know the man, but if he used the word trying to get someone to stop using it, it was dumb but not racist.Patterson will never hold a high or low-profile job in college football again.

ExactlyTotally stupid. He berated a player for using the the [n-word}. He called him a f***ing brat and threated to send him back to Pitt. When the player asked what his transgression was, Patterson said "you've been using the {n-word} in the meeting room."
That is NOT using a racial slur. Nobody thinks so either. There was another little brouhaha with another coach who told a player to "stop saying the {n-word}." People tried to blow it up as the coach using a slur. If folks actually believed a college football coach used that word as a slur, he'd have been fired on the spot.
So the 20 year veteran can learn from the first time head coach? No, don't know why we'd waste the phone call, if he gets an analyst gig, he'll go to Saban's rehab, he'll get a polish on running a program and Saban will get some new ideas on how to beat today's high octane offenses. If Beamer wants to draw guys like that to be analysts he'll have to win big and consistently first because they come to learn something, unless someone wants he for a semi-retirement.My guess is no. We are not smart enough to jump on those types of opportunities.

The belief is that black people can't understand context and think reasonably when the word is said, even for no reason other than to reference the word, so it's up to enlightened crackers to save the savages from discomfort and prevent whatever may follow, or some other horribly condescending nonsense. That being said, it's the most vial word in the English language and everyone knows the ironically racist "anti-racist"white saviors will nail you to a cross and treat you like the grand dragon for saying more than the first letter even if every other word in the sentence is "I detest the word ______ and never want to hear it fly loosely around me.". So all that considered, just play a game of hangman so you don't have to say it, on second thought, that may send the wrong message.Totally stupid. He berated a player for using the the [n-word}. And yet I have personally heard them call each other by that vile word.it's the most vial word in the English language
There is a different context, some black people use it as what is supposed to be a defiant reminder of how they've been treated before, I have no way to account for why anyone would use it when someone says they don't want it said around them, regardless of color. And yet I have personally heard them call each other by that vile word.
Exactly what I was thinking. A present from the heavens. SB can be his asst head coach and try his hand coordinating a side of the ball MAYBE (but seriously.....I would hope he didn’t get that because he is unqualified for either side O or D position). Wouldn’t give up Lembo for ST either so....Why waste time as an analyst? Offer him the head coaching job.
The Bumpus's dogs were hilarious.Sour grapes from Fort Worth is that Patterson's teams were never as good once his long-time DC Dick Bumpus retired in 2015.
Stupid post. Why waste time as an analyst? Offer him the head coaching job.
