Dirtiest Gamecock Player Ever (any sport)

No. Jimmy Walsh was Donnie's brother. Billy Walsh walked through a glass door when we played in the NIT. We really had no bench to speak of, many games played nobody but the starters. We had won the first game against Southern Illinois. Then had to play Army, coached by Bobby Knight. They had a guard named Mike Kzychewski, yeah that Mike Kzychewski.
Billy Walsh never played for Carolina after the NIT, but some years later he played on a barnstorming team with Roche, Owens and Cremmins. They played at County Hall in Charleston and he was still impressive.

...and it was a revolving door. Always thought it was ironic that an NYC guy (which most of them were, of course) was injured by a revolving door. Would expect that more from a small town kid visiting the City for the first time. After missing pre-season practice the next Fall (when we were ranked No.1 in the A.P. Poll) & the December games, there was hope that Billy would be eligible come 2nd semester (Jan.,1970), but it wasn't meant to be. His loss was especially devastating in light of Roche's injury that March. Having Billy could have made the difference!!

For anyone interested, Donnie's lil' bro'... Jimmy...from the 1974-1975 media guide

We need a point guard for the All-Dirty Team. How was Mike Dunleavy as a player? I know his son is one of the most hated players in the NBA.

And Dad had quite an Irish temper when he coached.

Dunleavey was a tough player. He was covering Larry Kenon in the NCAAs and Kenon elbowed him in the mouth knocking out his 2 front teeth. Dunleavey begged Jim Price to let him stay in the game; told him he could get more teeth he might not ever get another NCAA.
