Just SyracuseForget the ACC...They beat Bama by 28, ND by 37, OSU by 30, Ok by 30. Is there anyone in the nation in position to challenge them.

I would agree with that if I thought the physical rigors they might face in every league would be the same as in the ACC. They might win as many, or nearly as many, games in any league. But they also might pay a higher price physically for those wins. It happened to Bama last year to some extent. It is not an inconsiderable factor. I might add, appearing in the playoff and winning it all are accomplishments of entirely different magnitudes. There's the Champion, and then there's everyone else. The more you get beat up, the tougher it is to surmount all others.Clemson is the best team in college football, hands-down. They would dominate any conference they played in. They would win the SECE handily and probably match up with Bama in the SECCG. And we know how they would do against Bama. Either way, SEC or ACC, they still end up in the playoff.
When they go up against LSU and the better Ole Miss Teams, Auburn (remember two seasons ago), Georgia (remember the SEC Championship game) and A&M, they have to more than break a sweat - at least some of the time. How is that any different than Bama's games vs sec teams?
This conversation is so 2008. They beat bama. We lost to the 4th place team in the weakest division in college football. Please just stop.
All I know for a fact is that they tell recruits that they will get beat up in the SEC and not in the ACC...therefore they will have longevity in the NFL.
So I suspect that they are aware the ACC is not the season long bloodbath the SEC is.
If you disagree, go argue with the clemson coaches.
LOL, really the coaches say that

Two words: PAC-12.The ACC is an outstanding all-sports conference. People don't need to be in denial about that. But the way forward in football is easier for UPC than it is for any of the other top programs. I don't even think it's arguable. Really, taking a snapshot of the ACC in football, who is really in a position to challenge them - I mean, right now?
It's theoretical until somebody does it and the conference opposition is minimal. Two words: PAC-12.
The road for SoCal or UCLA (or OR, WA, WSU for that matter) is much easier since the population is simila yet there are far fewer big-time programs on the West Coast. None of them seem to be able to step up, though. I blame soccer.
