FIRE BEAMER TONIGHT……………….

To be fair, I don't think they're doing it for just this game. They're doing it for what this loss likely means for the season. Pretty much all forward momentum for the program is gone.

In reality, Beamer will have to fail hard to get let go after next year.
Momentum can change with a win over Missouri and/or A&M. Both very beatable teams. Then finish off a weakened Clemson and the season isn't so bad.

I'd like for that to happen. BUT, we have problems on both sides of the ball for it to happen. I'm pulling for us to do that.

I know you have a strong dislike for Tennessee's Josh Heupel. But he had success at a previous FBS school as a Head Coach. He and Jamey Chadwell (another coach with success at a FBS school) were my top choices for the job. The only Head Coaches with any success at Carolina in the past 60 years had previous success as Head Coaches at a FBS school. Why we deviated from that proven formula for us, is beyond me.

I've been watching Carolina football for 55 years and in that time they've hired up and coming young coaches, experienced veteran championship winning coaches, and everything in between and the results have for the most part always been the same,at best mediocre.

Yep. it's a numbers game more than ever and we consistently recruit in the lower echelon of the SEC.

During his first season, Beamer went off script after a 30-0 loss to UGA and explained how they had 5 stars all over the field. It was clear the AD Dept. did not care for that as it has never been mentioned again.

The AD always aims for maximum participation. It doesn't matter if you love or hate what's going on with the team - as long as you're engaged. What they don't want is a breakdown of reality in terms of where we are in the talent and money universe. That kind of talk breeds apathy - the nemesis of any program.

I thought we played well yesterday until some 4th Quarter miscues. The offense performed well again even without our main threat in Wells. The defense does need to improve. However, it would be difficult to argue they were much different than what was a pretty good Florida defense going into the game. And unlike many times during the Muschamp era, players were in place to make plays. They just got out-talented at times - especially open field tackles.

I don't disagree with that. And that was true during the Spurrier era as well. From 2010-2013 we were among the upper echelon on the field because Spurrier could outcoach most. And then he mailed it in starting in 2014.

The question we have to ask ourselves about Beamer is: can he outcoach most in the SEC?

I am not saying Heupel isn't a good, though evil, coach. I dislike a number of players and coaches and think them to be jerks, but that doesn't mean they aren't tough to beat or are not good at what they do. If they weren't good, I probably wouldn't be interested enough to dislike them.

I would agree they are "very beatable" if we were Texas.
A&M lost Weigman for the season and while Johnson isn't horrible, he isn't nearly as good. Miami scored 48 on A&M and had 374 yards passing. The Aggies are vulnerable to SC if Rattler is on his game and he has a little time. I think SC can beat them. Probably won't, but not at all unobtainable.

Not that I take issue with anything you stated. However, let's make no mistake and it must be pointed out over and over again, without Rattler we have nothing, zilch, nada, zero! His accuracy is amazing, he can scramble and he knows when not to, he has the arm, he's calm & cool and doesn't panic. If Rattler goes down, the results for the remainder of the season would be horrific.

I know nothing about the evil" or "jerk" parts. I do know that in 3 years at UCF, he led them to 11th in the nation and 24th in the nation. In his 2nd year at Tennessee, he led them to 6th in the nation. Thus far this season, he has Tennessee at 6-1. and 19th in the nation. If he is truly a "jerk", I suspect that every Carolina fan on this forum would put up with that for Tennessee's results. I know I would.

Fire the coach is always the answer
Beamer is a good coach

??? Are U Kidding me???

He calls at least one "trick" play every single game. Usually more. (Ya see a lot of that in the PROs .... huh???) wonder when it will bite his butt.
He plays the SAME players, without substitutions ALL GAME. (i.e. This week's starting center had 9 snaps all season until Fla....... and it showed.)
He makes radical decisions. Changing the entire starting OL because they sucked and HE had an extra week off???
He hangs early and then gives up 14+ points in the 4th quarter every game.(Spurrier owned the second half.)
Basically, he's relying on the portal and grad transfers ... one and dones. He's not building, he's replacing parts.
I know our alternative sex friends will get their panties in a wad but, what's with all the player hugging and ass grabbing??? Is that supposed to build comradery???

And don't get me started!!! (Too Late)

JMHO but he'll be (is) a laughing stock before he becomes a legend. But let's see how the season plays out and give the kids a hug for me!!!

Things were not the same during the Spurrier years, 11-2, 11-2, 11-2, five consecutive wins over Clemson. Some fans got mad about the way Spurrier made his exit. It did not bother me. Find us another coach who can duplicate what Spurrier did and the guy can leave any way he wants to.

If ole Shane"did it for the Gram" Beamer doesn't make it to a bowl game this year. How warm is his seat next year? He won't have Rattler, Leggette, Knox or Anderson. Literally our only players worth a shit. Next year could be really really really bad.

Not that this is what I want to happen just, what I think will happen.

Because of the way the 2022 regular season ended, along with a "shudda won" against Notre Dame, Frank's Boy bought himself at least seven more years before any change will be considered. After the Muschamp & Beamer fiascos as long as he doesn't pull an O-fer, he will be given chance, after chance, after chance.

Look how Frank Martin almost turned a .444% SEC winning percentage, into a pension.

Hide & Watch.

Beamer the cheerleader will try to convince everyone how great his team played. This team sucks rocks top to bottom.. Hope they lose out the rest of the season so we can find a real coach.

I do enjoy the morning show the next with ol Todd after a tough loss lol jk, but the things he says are comical at times, like any coach tho, they'll say what mistakes they made....like the other team didn't make mistakes too. But they just talk like its no big deal, nothing to see here!

Seems my post IS aging well. Beamer was a big mistake as a head coach. If you didn’t see that yesterday you are in denial……

How many coaches in the 125 year history of USC Football could you have said this about in Season 3? All but maybe one or two?

We're a one-trick pony on offense without Wells and the OL needs help. We need to buy more player talent versus chasing coaching talent. The best players on our team are NIL/Portal based. The players we lost in the offseason due to NIL/Portal (Bell, Lloyd) were probably the next best.

The combination of NIL/Portal and today's coaching contracts (5-years; massive buyout) is not a good recipe for us or any mid-tier team. Buying out Beamer's contract only to roll the dice again with another coach under the same terms doesn't seem wise at this point.

IMO, we need stop following the leader with these Hotel California coaching contracts as they aren't in our best interests given the new structure of the college football scene. If we continue to follow the herd, we're going to continue to fall in line. Beamer's buyout is close to $18 million next year so we're likely going to have to wait this one out either way and just hope it improves.
